Akaashi's POVIt was the perfect morning to enjoy the Fall weather that was finally settling in. Akaashi was on his way to a local bookstore, a place he'd regularly found himself at for some peace and quiet. As he neared the shop, he took in the breeze, he was never a fan of the warmer weather that Summer had to offer. It always made him feel uneasy and he didn't fancy feeling sweaty, despite his occasional gym sessions.
He never wanted Fall to leave, but eventually everything good had to come to an end. It was something he had practically grown accustomed to knowing ever since he was young. Akaashi stopped in his steps for a few moments before opening the door, the little bell making a 'DING' while he walked over to his normal seat. He was greeted by the owner, a lovely elderly woman who took a liking to Akaashi for his daily visits to her shop. She would offer him the newest books to read and some treats.
This time was different though. Instead of the lady, Akaashi looked up to meet the eyes of a taller male, appearing to be around his own age. It startled him a bit, he wasn't a fan of much social interaction either and it was typically the nice elderly women to greet him for a conversation.. he wondered who this new guy was though. As the taller male brought him a single muffin and an espresso, he peered at his name tag, reading "Bokuto" in bold silver letters.
It startled him, more or less the other male as well by the look on Akaashi's face when he came over. His expression wasn't anything different than the normal stoic look with a hint of shock.. he figured he probably looked like a deer in headlights right about now. It was quickly shaken off when the male left though, that was a bad way to make a first impression, not that Akaashi cared that much. He most likely wouldn't see him again, or so he thought.
The familiar scent of peony had filled the shop as Akaashi reached behind himself to grab a random book off the shelf. He wasn't bothered by the fact he possibly read this already, he rather enjoyed reading things over again. He sipped on his beverage, leaning back into the comfort of the chair he was sitting in, flipping slowly through the pages of the thick chapter book. A small grin appeared on his lips, which represented that he hadn't read this yet.
Akaashi secretly adored everything about this shop. It was his home away from home, a place for quiet when life got too loud, and the unknowing beginning of what would only change his life forever later on.
