Chapter 1

"Coming.. coming... just five minutes baby.. I am on my way..."

"Come fast Pa..  the function is gonna start now.. I won't go to receive my certificate if you didn't make it on time.." Jisoo stomped her foot in frustration while yelling at her father on the phone. She heard a chuckle on the other side .. fueling her frustration more.

"I reached the university gate my dear.. don't take major decisions like this.."

"Paaa.. okay.. come fast.. I am at the entrance of the hall.." Jisoo whined hearing her father teasing her on the phone and ended the call.

"What?" Jisoo asked her boyfriend who was laughing at her.

"Nothing.. you are yelling at your Pa for not reaching before it starts. I wonder if my dad can make it at least before calling me on stage." Sarcasm overflowing in his tone. Jisoo chuckled hearing Taegguk's words.

Taegguk and Jisoo are medical students.. who are graduating today. A big step in their lifetime. After today their name will be called along with  'doctor'!. Both are best friends since they joined medicine.. but recently they realised that they are more than 'friends' to each other and decided to give each other a chance. But they want their parents permission to take another step in their relationship. So the day is entirely special for the young couple. They are gonna introduce each other to their parents.

"I am sorry.. I am late.." both heard a deep voice and Jisoo turned around to see the person.. already knows it's her Pa.. Taehyung.

"Pa.." Jisoo embraced her father lovingly.

"Sorry cupcake.. I had a meeting with a client.. but what are you doing outside.. you are supposed to be inside.. what if they called your name.." Taehyung tucked her hair strands behind her ear.

"Um.. actually.. the function hasn't started yet.." Jisoo said with a sheepish smile. Taehyung sighed in relief.

"Uhh.. i should have known it before.. in fact you are the one who was calling me.." Taehyung said with a fake hurt face. Jisoo slapped his arm playfully for teasing her. While Taegguk giggled seeing this father daughter interaction. Taehyung looked at him in confusion. Taegguk immediately shut his mouth.

"Um.. Pa.. this is Taegguk.. my friend.." Jisoo introduced him.

"And Gguk.. this is Pa.. Kim Taehyung.."

"Hello Mr.Kim... nice to meet you.." Taegguk extended his hand to Taehyung.. who shook his hand with a bright smile. He already knows what is coming next.

"Hello young man.. nice to meet you too.."

"I don't know where.. but i have seen you somewhere before ." Taegguk said while shaking hand.

"Really? Where?" Taehyung was excited.

"I don't remember exactly.. maybe in any shows.. Jisoo told me that you are a stylist.."

"Yeah.. maybe.."

"Let's go inside.. it's gonna start now.." Jisoo said dragging her Pa inside the hall.

"What about your parents?" Taehyung asked Taegguk in confusion.

"Actually.. my dad is coming.. but God knows when.. I hope he will make it before I go to the stage..he is always late you know.." Taegguk said with a sheepish smile. Taehyung nodded in return. He very well aware of the late comers. They are always late!!

They went to the hall and Taehyung took a seat among the audience while Jisoo and Taegguk went to their classmates. And the certificate distribution started. Taehyung clicked so many pictures of his daughter and her friends when they received the certificate, when they took the oath, when they threw their graduation caps. Taegguk said that his dad has already arrived and took a seat in the back row.
