Chapter 2

"dad..." Jungkook slowly opened his eyes hearing his son calling him so calmly. He saw Gguk standing with two cups of tea near his couch. Jungkook was in a deep sleep on the couch in his office room. He smiled at his son and took the cup from his. Gguk also sat near him.. sipping his tea.

"Dad.. can I ask you something?" Gguk asked him after a few minutes of silence. Jungkook took a deep breath.

"Taehyung was my friend in school.. not just a friend.. we were best friends.. we were like two bodies and one soul.. " Jungkook said dreamily remembering their happy days. Taegguk can see the spark in his eyes. And it fueled his inner doubts.

"But he suddenly disappeared one day from my life Gguk.. after high school.. and i called him so many times.. i messaged him.. no reply.. then I went to his home to see him. But he was not there.. his dad said that he got married and moved to the states with his husband.. can you believe it?" Jungkook asked his son expecting he would also agree with him. And Gguk nodded as agreeing. He can see the pain in his dad's eyes.

"I was mad Gguk.. like really really mad.. how can he do that to me.. I am his best friend.. you know.. we were always together.. but he didn't tell me about his marriage and he left without telling me.. after that I saw him today.. and you yourself saw how he behaved with me.. i really don't know what is my fault.." Jungkook lowered his head. His shaky voice indicates how hurt he is. And Taegguk looked at him amused. He never saw his dad like this much sad. He moved towards his dad and grabbed his shoulders. Jungkook looked at him and gave him a tight smile.

"Jisoo called you ?" Jungkook asked him. Gguk shook his head in return.

"I will call her later dad.. she must be with her pa.." Jungkook nodded in return. He doesn't know what's going on in Taehyung's life. But he knows that something is bothering him.. otherwise his best friend will not avoid him.

"Dad.. can I ask you something?" Gguk again asked Jungkook.. and he looked at his son in confusion. He thought gguk wanted to know about his best friend. He nodded as yes.

"Why didn't you get married yet?" Jungkook looked at his son in shock. Why is he asking this now? Jungkook tried to compose himself and tried to smile.

"Gguk.. I told you I couldn't love after your mom left me.. then how can I marry someone..?"

"Drop this act dad.. I know that you adopted me from an orphanage.. i know I was only three then.. but i remember some scenes of that orphanage.. I never told you this before since you didn't gave me a chance to remember my hard days there.. you gave me everything.. like everything.. you are my everything.. and i didn't want to hurt you telling that i remember those days.. and I don't wanna remember at all.. you are my dad.. and I am your son.. but i always feel that you missed someone in your life.. you told stories about my 'imaginary mother' to me.. and I always listened to you like we were a family once. I also wanted to believe that story.. but now I know that stories wasn't imaginary..right?" Gguk asked his dad.. who was sitting like his entire life imaginary. He felt broken knowing his son remember everything.

"Gguk.. i.." Jungkook was going to say sorry to his son for giving him false information. But Gguk hugged him tightly.

"Don't be sorry dad.. i already told you.. you are my everything.. you gave me everything.. I never knew a mother's absence.. you are the best parent in this world.. and I love you so much.. I am your gguk.. we are still buddies.. " Jungkook also hugged him tightly and whimpered in his son's embrace. Gguk wiped his dad's tears and cupped his face.

"Now please tell me dad.. you loved someone? And that someone is Taehyung?" Jungkook's eyes widened hearing that. How does he know that?"

"No gg.. gguk.. he is my friend.." Jungkook said looking somewhere else.
