42 AC, KINGSLANDING

"Well husband, do you have something to tell me?"

Jaehaera didn't even bother to say hello as she entered her husbands chambers, she was livid about the rumors that had been flying around the court for a while now.

Maegor looked at Jaehaera in front of him. She was no longer the child he married, now she had grown to become a beautiful woman. Maegor did not like the way she was dressed but he would never say that, her beauty made up for it.

"If this is about our marriage, I believe there is nothing else to discuss. I have done my duties and given you your crown. Beyond that I shall leave you to your devices."

He went back to his work, ignoring her as if she were not there.

"Are the rumors true?" Jaehaera asked, looking beyond livid.

Maegor stopped in his tracks, now interested by her words and not happy about them.

"Rumors? What rumours?" he said with a frown.

He had made his fair share of mistresses and was not happy to be confronted about it.

"You and my best friend, Lady Kathryn.. is it true?" She had tears in her eyes and trembled, she seemed like a mourning woman.

But it was not her husband she was mourning.

Maegors frown deepened when he realized his mistake. He would not deny it, the evidence was too strong.

"Yes." he said in a whisper trying to keep what little dignity he had left.

"But I have been good to you. Our marriage has been strong and our children beautiful. You would be a fool to throw it all away." he said while trying to avoid those tears, they made him feel uncomfortable.

"WHY?" She just cried, enraged at this situation. If it was someone else, she might've been understanding, but her best friend?

His face darkened at her shouting.

"Do not shout." he said in a commanding tone.

"And the answer to your question is simple; you are not enough for me, so I seek pleasure elsewhere. She is like a good cup of dornish wine, once in a while I need something other than water." he said in a plain tone.

Jaehaera was too mad to even respond to that, first he stole her childhood, her Innocence, her virtue, and now her best friend?

If she couldve, she would've killed Maegor right then and there.

But then she looked over to that beautifully carved cradle across the room. She couldn't fathom harming her daughters vision of a perfect family.

Her sweet Visenya.

Silence filled the air for a few moments, until she finally spoke again.

"Then what is the point of our marriage?"

Maegor had no words to say, there was no point to their marriage, it was only meant to please the seven gods and the realm, he thought in that moment.

"This changes nothing." he said finally.

"I am still king and you are my queen, the rest is not important."

Suddenly, Jaehaera burst with rage, something she had not felt before. She grabbed what was in front of her: a glass of dornish wine, which she threw it against the wall in front of Maegor. There was a splash of red all over the wall and her cheeks were now wet with tears, but those tears turned to anger.
