Trapped

Chapter 2

Running around, her parents watched from afar at her little figure playing on the playground. They knew it would happen at some point, they just didn’t know when. They were afraid of what he was going to do to her once he got his hands on her. For now, all they could do was watch her and be cautious around everyone. They had problems with the man, and he had threatened to take away their only daughter leaving them with immense fear of when it would happen. They watched their only daughter playing with none other than her best friend. They had tried to enjoy all the years they had until they wouldn’t see her again. They could have reported it to the cops, but that would do no good. They knew if they did that he would send his men to get rid of them because, after all, he has more power than them. They even offered him lots of money, but he wanted her. At last, they had finally agreed, either way, they had no other choice. 

She walks around the bedroom, exploring until she finds a note in the drawer. Written with a black ink pen it said, “Don’t worry, I know for now you are locked away. But I promise you, I will let you out, I just have to let you get used to your new bedroom. Although you don’t know who I am, I know who you are. I’ll make sure you’ll fall in love with me because ever since I laid my eyes on you I fell in love instantly. I’ll make sure my maids bring food to you.” She felt fear run through her veins. The thought of that had her stomach churning, making her feel sick to her stomach. How could he practically know who she was? She had always looked at her surroundings, she never saw anyone who looked suspicious. She didn’t even know who the man was, but she could tell that he was obsessed with her. It absolutely creeped her out. Why her? Out of all the other girls, why did he choose her? There was nothing special about her, she was a normal girl. Compared to everyone in the city, she was nothing. 

Yet, only one man had noticed her. She was that beautifully gorgeous girl to him. As much as she wondered why they had chosen her, she couldn’t come up with a reason. She was afraid of what this person would do to her. She heard on a knock on the door and as the door opened, a maid walked in with a plate of food. Although it looked delicious, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to eat it due to the fact that she didn’t know if it was poisoned or not. Once, she picked at it, she finally tried it and her eyes closed at the taste. It was incredibly delicious, something that she could eat for the rest of her life. After she finished eating, she wasn’t afraid as much as she was before.  She knew he wasn’t trying to hurt her.
