Keeper's backstory:
Long ago, there was an island in the middle of the Atlantic. It was a place of mystery and legends surrounded by darkness. This was the Isle of Armor. Its name comes from it being the ground of many medieval battles and the home of what once was Sir Lancelot's armor. With time a dynasty was born into the island, The Nevermore dynasty, a noble family that was feared by the places that knew about it. It was said that the Nevermore dynasty was one of deadly and dark quirks, from mere killers to restless necromancers. But this was far from the truth. In reality, the noble family was mostly quirkless, they were a simple family, building their civilization on the island, they lived from hunting and mostly farming, and many travelers decided to stay by their walls. The head of the dynasty was Mortimer Nevermore, a growing old man invested in the druid ways, he knew the ways of nature and had learned many secrets from the druids passed on by his father, but beyond that, he was a quirkless man. He was married to Seraphina Nocturne, a fair lady from the deep heart of Norway. He had met her during his travels to England, searching for any leads on Sir Lancelot's armor, the lost relic in his domain. They would end up, married in the warm embrace of the shadows, a place that Seraphina knew very well since her quirk was Shadow Manipulation. This gave Mortimer hope that his offspring and the heirs to the throne of the Isle Of Armor could get quirks themselves as well as teach them his knowledge about the druids and their magic. They would first have two children, Lysander and Isolde, twins that were unfortunately born quirkless due to the long line of quirkless members on Mortimer's side. Yet they still hoped and tried once again, finally giving birth to one very pale child, his hair as white as his skin, eyes of different colors, and an aura of darkness. Unfortunately due to the shock, Seraphina would not be able to take this birth correctly, dying right there. Mortimer still loved this child, he named him Keeper as he looked like the Grim Reaper, the keeper of the dead, and he hoped that he would be the one to give him what he wanted, an heir with a quirk that he could pass his knowledge onto. Keeper grew lonely, mostly being cared for by his father or the butlers that were around the castles, his siblings tended to not behave nicely towards him due to the rejection their father had given them due to the lack of a quirk. He grew tall but at age 17, something would change the course of his life.
On a lonely rainy night while the family slept horns started to sound from outside, vikings had come to raid the island, they had heard of the long-lost relic and so they wanted a piece. They marched strongly through the walls tearing apart civilians and soldiers alike as they reached the doors of the castle. Mortimer took his children into the basement buying as much time as he could. The Vikings raided the castle, and eventually, their leader reached into the basement, starting a chase around. Lysander and Isolde would be caught off guard by one of the Vikings taking both of them out. Mortimer took Keeper deep into the dungeons of the castle, telling him about a secret escape tunnel in there, but before they could arrive a hatchet flew through the air, Mortimer lunged himself pushing Keeper out of the way, the hatchet piercing him through the chest. Keeper was hesitant to leave his father there, yet Mortimer simply took his hand and smiled, he seemed to chant ancient druid words and died there. Keeper, with tears in his eyes, ran towards the exit, finally reaching the tunnel and losing the Vikings, once outside everything seemed fine. He was alive, he survived the massacre...until... *thump* An arrow had pierced through his eyeball "This is it" he said to himself, yet there was something off, he didn't feel the arrow, he didn't feel the pain, he was somehow still alive, Was this part of his quirk?
The Viking that had taken the shot approached laughing and speaking in Norwegian, yet he saw the boy still alive, he prepared to take another shot but Keeper was already at his throat, the Viking started feeling how his soul slipped away seemingly being absorbed by this child, the sweet laughter of Death resounding in his ears. This was the first time Keeper had discovered his quirk, Death's Touch, yet that wouldn't be everything. He went out into the battlefield, the arrow no longer in his eye yet the empty socket still being shown. The rest of the raiders tried, slashed at him, shot him yet he still didn't feel anything, simply draining the life of the Viking fighters, adding scars to his body, no matter where the Vikings ran, he was already in front of them, his speed seemingly enhanced by the sense of vengeance. Once the last Viking fell dead, he sat down in the mud, under the rain, the only friend by his side being his horse Grim, a beautiful and strong black Horse gifted to him by his father on his 10th birthday. He was the only survivor of what was then known as the fall of the Isle of Armor, an Isle that would be forgotten by history.
