You know your fake smile made me cry? You know your words that I know you didn’t mean left a hole in my heart? You know my fingers have been itching not to call or text you? It hasn’t been that long ago since we talked, but it feels like a lifetime. We’ve gone without talking with each other for weeks, yet these two days have felt like ages. The way you held me that night feels like a dream. I know we were not in the right mindsets but still it felt so real. My shirt still smells like you from our many hugs. I want to see you again but the truth that you didn’t mean what you said stops me. I don’t know if it's true or false, your words that is, but I don’t have any more hope. So when we meet again I hope we can let it go, because that’s the only hope I’m still holding on to.
