3:50 am

I wake up in my old bedroom yawning and I reach for my phone. I feel like I forgot something. My phone pops up with a picture of me and my now ex-boyfriend Jason notifications from Instagram, TikTok, and email at the bottom of my Home Screen. It's 3:50 am and my flight is at 4:50 am. I forgot to set my alarm!  I jump out of bed pull my charger out of the socket pack it along with my phone in my book-bag and turn the light on it's a hot pink lamp with feathers don't ask I was seven. My heart is in my throat  I'm sweating and scrambling making sure I have everything in my suitcase.

4:12 am

I have no time to shower. I know my hair is a mess but I'll put it up in the car. Oh my gosh, the car I have to give it back it's a rental. I don't remember how to do that I know I wrote it down somewhere. I nearly fall down the stairs and almost land on the family cat, it jolts up but I shush it before it wakes anyone. I look in the kitchen on the refrigerator nothing. I can't find the notecard where I wrote it down. I'll just call someone and figure it out. I close the door nearly slamming it. I lock the door with the key under the mat and I get in the car.

4:32 am

I'm on my way to the airport at least it's five minutes away. I spent time in the car putting my hair in a messy bun and adding some concealer for my bags, mascara, brushed up my eyebrows. Okay at least there's a huge sign for car rentals. I park the car. Pop the truck to get my huge suitcase and my mom would say "That suitcase is bigger than you." Which is more of an insult than a compliment and honestly doesn't make any sense. I close the trunk and turn around to see no one at the booth.

4:42 am

I'm going to miss my flight! I found a key slot at the booth and just put it in there for returns.  I go on in the airport and at least there's barely anyone at check-in. I'm able to talk to a lady and she's really sweet. I tell her I'm checking in two bags my suitcase and I have a carry-on. I gave her my drivers license and passport since Canada is my first home but I live in Seattle, Washington now with my two best friends Ally and Aj. We met in college at the University of Washington. I was roommates with AJ for the first two years and we met Ally the third year when she decided to stay on campus we all hit it off well. We watched all the Scream movies in a row one night and after that pulled all-nighters for midterms rewarding ourselves with boba tea, dumplings, and pork egg rolls our favorites. They also got me out of my comfort zone as we explored the city every other weekend. I fell in love with the city and we decided that Seattle was our home, we saved up and now we live in a Loft together.

"It looks like you got the times mixed up your flight isn't until 4:50 pm tomorrow." She squints at the screen writes something down and looks up at me.

I feel like I'm going to pass out. I clear my throat and close my eyes.

I faint.

5:03 am

I wake up in a white room. "Oh great I died." I wipe my eyes and I see my bags in the corner and like one hundred first aid kits stacked up to the ceiling in front of me. A huge silver sink to my left and a calendar to my right. I did get the dates mixed up. My head starts throbbing I pat down the bed. Where's my phone? I check under the pillow all under the bed and look on the floor there it is and with my luck, it's cracked. The door opens and a tall blonde curvy lady dressed in flight attendant gear comes in she's wearing red lipstick and her hair is pulled back in a bun. She smells like honey and chocolate her natural nails are painted red.

"Hey you took quite a spill, I advise you to take these pills after you eat something you can get anything for free from one place you chose on us. Do you want another ice pack it seems that they forgot to give you one."
