Rekindling The Old Love

A day before the grand opening, naisipan ng management na bigyan ng day off ang mga players. And now, Yoko and Sakuragi are alone in her house. Sakuragi is waiting for her in the couch while watching NBA game, GSW Vs. Dallas Mavs. While Yoko is in his kitchen cooking there meal.

Sa pagkakatanda ni Sakuragi, Yoko is a great chef, she often cook there food way back Jr. High. So he continued reminiscing when he heard her gasping, kaya nagmadali siyang pumunta sa kusina and he noticed 1 of her finger is bleeding. The wound is small but since she's chopping an onion, it bled a lot. Kaya nagmadali kaagad si Sakuragi sa  pagkuha ng first aid kit at tinulungan na niyang pahintuin ang pagdurugo ng maliit na sugat. So he decided to help her with preparation, and she'll be the one to cook it though.

Once they are done cooking, they already have set up the dining table and began to eat. The two of them are merrily talking about the past, and there future plans.

Sakuragi: Right now, my goal is to achieve the clauses the management gave me. Para sa contract ko. And, come playoffs time, I will beat everyone to win the gold for this franchise.

Napatingin sakanya si Yoko. Alam niyang kaya niya ito lahat. Bago pa siya magsimulang magsalita ay may narinig siyang katok sa kanyang pinto kaya agad siyang lumabas at tignan ang kanyang peep hole kung sino.

Sakuragi: Who's there?

Yoko: You'd be surprised. Hahahaha

Kaya pinagbuksan niya ng pinto ang isang magandang babaeng talagang naging parte nadin ng buhay niya. Si Ayako.

Sakuragi: A-ate Ayako! Kumusta??

Ayako: Hmm? H-Hanamichi! Di ko akalain na magkakilala pala kayo ng bitchfriend kong si Yoko!

Yoko: Hoy! Grabe ka!

Sakuragi: Yup. Way back Jr. High and we are together now. Hahaha

Ayako: Ah! Magaalsa-balutan na ako. Hahahaha!

Yoko: Baliw!! Hng! He's still living next door! Hng!

Sakuragi: Hay. Have you eaten yet?

Ayoko: Not yet!

And napansin naman nilang halos maglaway na si Ayako. Kaya inaya na siya ni Sakuragi, and Yoko fetched another plate, spoon and fork.

Sakuragi: Come on! Let's dig in!

So habang kumakain sila ay nakipagcatch up naman sakanya si Ayako.

Ayako: So, Hanamichi, how's life? Last I heard you sweared an oath to Japanese Military. Are you released?

Sakuragi: Yes! With a minimum retiring march. Haha. I just wanted to serve Japan in different way other than playing overseas you know. And when I got out, I received a notification that I was traded here, in Kawasaki. Kumusta ba ate? May boyfriend ka na ulit?

Ayako: wala. Ayoko nadin. Si Riyota lang talaga minahal ko eh. Do you have a news about him?

Sakuragi: Prepare to be surprised!

Then he shared the pictures he got on his phone to Ayako. She saw that Miyagi now is using a cane to help him walk. Miyagi was the star player in one of the Universities in Saitama. But due to a tragic event, he lost his ability to play. His right foot is permanently broken.

Ayako: Kumusta na siya? Andito din ba siya sa Kanagawa?

Sakuragi: Unfortunately, no. I asked him to take charge in one of my businesses in Tokyo. But he is here every weekend to notify me about the sales, and inventory auditing. He's doing good. And you know, ate. Riyochin still loves you. He often tells me that he can't getover you, he just let you go because he was a hopeless case. He will never walk without a cane anymore. And he hates to see you suffer because of him. He said that he is not worth it and you still have your youth to value.
