Chapter 6
The silence was broken by the sound of the door opening, Lilian rustling in with bags around her hands, and Frederick struggling to drag in another few trolley bags that belonged to Sky.
"Hey baby," Lilian said, pulling out a box of chocolates and placing it on the tray near his bed.
Sky said nothing, he smiled and picked up a piece of chocolate, "I can eat these?" he asked, eyebrow raised,
She nodded yes. Sky helped himself with some chocolates and more chocolates. He smiled at the two adults looking at him eat, with honey-dripping eyes.
"Uhm, Mom can we talk?" Sky asked, grabbing the tissues next to him,
Lilian looked at Frederick. He excused himself outside, giving Lilian Malachi a consoling look.
"What is it baby" She sat down next to him, pulling the chair closer to the bedside.
Sky was hesitant, but pulled the picture from under his blankets and gave it to Lilian,
"Do you know him?" Sky asked, holding his tone low, hiding his curiosity,
"Oh my, is that you?! You're so tiny in this" She looked closer, "Oh! Yes, it's Levi, Levi Park"
Sky smiled, 'So, Storm is Levi!'
"Where did you get this?" Lilian asked,
"I met an old nurse; she passed me a file full of my old pictures. Said she knew me from a young age" Sky took the picture back,
Lilian was surprised to see Sky smiling at the picture, "I thought you would have no memory of you in the hospital" She added, "I'm glad you remember Levi"
"Were we close?" He asked,
"Close is not the word dear. Inseparable!" she continued, "Only he could convince you to visit the hospital! You were always with him, like a monkey, clinging on to him" Lilian smiled,
Sky looked at her, yearning for more information,
"You were always smiling and full of life with him around and he took care of you even when he had his surgery," she said,
"His surgery?" Sky asked,
"Yes, from what I remember he was admitted for some surgery on his head," She stopped, she couldn't recall more,
Sky sat back, with the picture in his hand. He looked up at Lilian and saw a familiar black-dressed figure sitting behind her, He gasped and flung back in surprise.
"Are you alright!?" Lilian asked, worried
"Yes," Sky said, turning away from Lilian, "I just need to lie down"
"I have to tell you something," Lilian started,
"Don't" Sky stopped her, "I know," he said, "It's okay, Mom"
Lilian held back her tears, to her surprise Sky was calm.
"Can I lie down for a while?" Sky asked,
"Sure Honey, I'll be outside," Lilian said and walked out, Looking back at Sky one more time, she exited the room with a sigh.
"You're early," Sky said lying down,
"Are you alright?" Storm walked towards the bed, sitting on it,
"Yes," Sky smiled,
"Did I hurt you," Storm asked
Sky panicked, avoiding his eyes, shy. Sky looked away, "No," Sky said, getting up from the bed slowly and walking towards the window.
