Chapter 7

The two boys were stunned at the old nurse's words.

"What do you mean Alive?" Sky asked, stuttering, glancing over Storm.

Storm walked past Sky, towards the nurse,

"What do you mean Alive?!" Storm yelled, trying to touch her, but couldn't

He tried again, agitated. His eyes changed, and he yelled again,

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!"

Sky witnessed it all, but the lady could not see or hear Storm, his efforts were all in vain. Storm turned to look at Sky, with pleading eyes.

Sky understood,

"What do you mean by he's still alive?" Sky asked, following Storm's gaze, "Where is he?"

"Well, I can't blame anybody for thinking that way, Storm had been in a coma for," She paused to think, "that's right, he fell into a coma 15 years back"

'Storm is alive. What is happening? I thought my death news was the highlight of today. It seems the universe had plans for a blockbuster!' Sky thought to himself.

"Where is he now?" He urged. Storm was losing it. He was excited, furious, and confused.

"Something went wrong during the operation, he didn't wake up after that," She was flustered with all the questions,

"WHERE IS HE?!" Sky asked, agitated,

"He... He is in the old hospital facility near the main building. Maybe 10, roughly 5 minutes from here" she said,

The old lady nurse left the room, confused at Sky's behavior. Sky sighed in disbelief,

"You're alive!" Sky said, "Levi! You're alive!" Sky jumped towards Storm, hugging him, and smiling.

Storm felt uneasy, he was in pain, and his head, eyes, and body felt splitting pain. Storm couldn't understand what was happening,

"I need a minute," Storm said, walking out of Sky's room.

Sky understood how crucifying it might feel for Storm. After 15 years of thinking he was a dead soul, he just realized he was alive.

'I need to see him!' Sky said,

Sky spent the next few minutes rummaging through the bags Frederick brought a while before. He pulled a hoodie out from the trunk, wore it over his hospital gown, and sneaked out quietly.

The hallways were not crowded, he walked forward, controlling his breathing and moving slowly but steadily. He made his way through the patient elevator, down the pharmaceuticals and food court.

Sky looked up at the signs, The old building was written on the board with an arrow pointing left. Sky followed it and got outside. He saw an old beige building in front of him, not bigger than a three-floored apartment, not even bigger than his mansion. Sky walked towards the entrance and saw a guy in the reception, Sky walked up to him,

"Excuse me," He asked politely,

The man put aside the file he was holding and looked at Sky through between the full-rimmed glasses, "Yes" he replied,

"I'm looking for Sto..., I mean Levi" Sky corrected, "Levi Park"

"Are you a relative?" He asked,

"Yes," Sky replied, avoiding his eyes,

"Third floor, Ward A- Room 17," he said, suspiciously looking up and down at him.

Sky thanked him walked inside, and made his way to Ward A. He was excited. He reached the third floor, nurses were walking in and out of rooms, and an old janitor sanitizing the hallway. He looked up and saw the signs,

'Room 177, found it!' He excitedly hurried forward, from the corner.

A pair of hands pulled him back in surprise almost knocking him to the ground. Sky turned in fear of getting caught, the long white hands let him go. He turned, "Strom!" Sky whispered in surprise.

"Are you sure, this is the right thing to do?" Storm asked,

Sky nodded yes.

They walked towards the room, slowly. Sky turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. He walked in.

The room was bright, with curtains drawn to the sides, and empty, Medicines were kept neatly and a man in his early thirties sleeping peacefully on the blue hospital bed. Sky walked towards him, in caution. He looked at Storm's face,

'You look different,' he whispered

Levi looked different than Storm, Beard trimmed down, skin not pale as a ghost, and eyes closed. He looked peaceful. Sky reached his hand out, and touched his face,

'Warm

Sky felt butterflies in his stomach. He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on Levi's forehead.

"Storm?" Sky whispered

The air was tense, Storm's long legs were visible at the entrance, and he walked in, steady steps, eyes on the floor. He walked towards the foot of the bed and halted. He raised his gaze and saw himself in front of him.

A pair of bright images flashed through in front of him, making him blind from pain and he collapsed. Sky panicked and ran towards Storm, who was on his knees, hands on his head, moaning in pain.

"Are you all right!" Sky asked, worried

Storm opened his eyes as images flashed through in front of him, a child smiling around him, the doctors, unfamiliar faces, and voices.

Sky panicked, his breathing changed, and he gasped for air as he saw Storm blend in with the surroundings, disappearing.

"You're vanishing!" Sky yelled, trying to hold Storm. His hands turned to mist, Storm looked at Sky, who was collapsed at the sight of Storm disappearing. Storm reached out to hold Sky, but his hands were already gone,

"No," Sky said, "NOOOOOO!" His scream echoed through the walls of the hospital, his eyelids felt heavy, and his chest hurt like it was being stabbed.

He tried to slap himself to stay awake, but he couldn't. His body gave up on him,

The mind that was strong, couldn't keep up with the body that lost the game.

Sky collapsed on the floor as Storm disappeared from his sight, eyes overflowing with tears, lips turned purple,

Sky's eyes slowly closed.
