The Polaroid camera ejected a film, which March promptly grabbed and gently shook to reveal the picture she had taken of Y/N. As the image gradually developed, she gazed at it, her expression radiating contentment with the outcome.
"Wow, This turned out even better than the first picture I took of Dan Heng." March remarked, letting out a laugh, which elicited an eye roll from Dan Heng.
"Um... thanks... I guess?" Y/N replied, somewhat perplexed.
March gave Y/N a radiant smile as she continued to admire the photo.
"Well, I'm going to my room now and have this for safekeeping." March declared, gesturing toward the used film.
"Just come and find me, Y/N, if you want a copy for yourself." She informed the armored man, waving goodbye to the group before walking away.
"I'll be heading back too. If any of you require my assistance, I'll be in the archives." Dan Heng announced as he departed.
After March and Dan Heng left the Parlor Car, Pom-Pom approached Himeko to discuss a matter related to the Astral Express.
"Himeko, the star rail stability and spatial readings have returned to normal. Would you like to jump drive to Herta's Space Station or proceed along the star rail at regular speed?" Pom-Pom inquired, seeking Himeko's preference regarding their travel speed.
"We're not in any rush, so let's proceed at normal speed. This way, Y/N can either explore the Express or take some more time to rest, considering he's just recovered." Himeko proposed and recommended to Pom-Pom and Y/N.
"Got it." The rabbit creature waddled towards the engine room.
"Thank you, Himeko," Y/N expressed his gratitude with a quick bow in her direction.
Himeko smiled at Y/N, appreciating his show of respect through the bow.
"So, what's your plan?" Welt asks the knight.
Y/N rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought, as he contemplated what to do.
"I think I'll start by getting to know the layout of the Express, maybe borrow a book from Dan Heng, grab a copy of the picture March took as a keepsake, and then perhaps relax in the chair by the radio over there." Y/N outlined his plans.
"Sounds like a plan, and just remember, don't hesitate to ask if you need anything from us." Welt reminded Y/N, emphasizing their willingness to assist.
The Emanator let out a soft chuckle, feeling as though both Himeko and Welt's protective instincts were kicking in, even for a newcomer like him.
"Thank you, Mr. Yang." Y/N expressed his gratitude with a bow in front of him.
~ Passenger Cabin, Astral Express ~
Y/N then embarked on his own, leaving Himeko and Welt to their devices. Eventually, he returned to the hallway he had first encountered and pursued Pom-Pom. Four doors stood before Y/N, and he assumed that each one likely led to the rooms of a different crew member.
