Chapter 1: The Book?

Heather's POV:

I was sitting in a cozy coffee shop, surrounded by the sounds of espresso machines and chatter, trying to pass off my worn book as a sign of refinement. I'm with my best friend, Dorothy, sipping on her favorite latte while engrossing herself on her iPad, oblivious to my fascination with my old book.

"CURSED FATE OF WINGS." I whispered to myself, my eyes scanning the old text. The words seemed to dance across the page, casting a strange and eerie glow in the dim light of the shop.

"In the name of my dominant name against mortal entity,

I shall raise the purity and punish these sinners before me."

"You whom I have saved from darkness,

Hidden from the back of an unsteady mortal,

So as not to perish,

Forgotten his purity and began to desire.

As a sacred Archangel in the name of the Lord,

You defy the highest commandment between mortal and immortal being,

'Do not desire, love other than His.'

Otherwise, you will become an apostate tainted with sin.

So, I shall recover the symbol of God's purity.

You shall bow and surrender, and receive eternal life."

"And as for you, who have been a sinner from the beginning of your life.

Your sin is staining a sacred being with a lustful heart,

You shall suffer in my wrath,

Accept eternal torment of your soul,

May you not find peace from eternal reincarnation."

"Oh, my poor beloved!

There is no greater love you could ever hope to receive than from me.

Please do not hesitate to return to me,

I shall end your suffering!"

As I read the text, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as I read the words on the page. The language was formal and poetic, but the tone was one of warning and punishment. And the last part becomes more softer and compassionate.

This is not the first time I've read this book. This has been my companion ever since I became an orphan. At first I only understood this book as a dramatic and intense writing, about a deity who casts a spell on her loyal servant just by being in love with an immortal being. I'm not actually a fan of this kind of genre, but there's something about this book that draws me in. Every time I read it, It was as if the book was speaking directly to me. It's like it's saying something specific to me, and I feel a mix of emotions. Sometimes, I get a pang of sadness, like I'm feeling something deep inside. It felt like I was being drawn into the story, as if unseen eyes were watching me from the shadows. It's hard to explain, but it's like the book is connecting with me on a deep level like we're having a special conversation.
