This is my twitter AU. I am posting this here because the bird app may cease existing any time at this point. Honestly, I have just unrolled the AU and copy pasted it here. I might edit it later but right now I haven't even looked at this. So if it's missing some part or gets confusing, just read from Twitter for the time being 💜

Taehyung and Jeongguk end up in a monogamous relationship by the end of the story but for the most part he has four other consorts.

"Taehyung it's been 6 months of your marriage and you still have not shared a bed with the King", Taehyung 's mother cries.

"Mother, trust me I am trying ", Taehyung cries with her. When Jeongguk's loyal servant tells him about this conversation, Jeongguk almost vomits blood.

"Trying? Is coming to my chambers during scheduled consummation nights to play 'Go' with me instead and refusing to let me touch him 'trying' eunuch Cheo ?"

Eunuch Cheo shakes his head in sympathy, "I will go get you water, Your Majesty".

"Taehyung " Lady Kim calls his name, dabbing her silk handkerchief under her eye as if to wipe her tears. Taehyung swears he sees no tears coming out of her eyes. " When your father was alive , we were doing so well. We had hoped this marriage would foster our relationship with the Emperor even more. But contrary to my expectations, my elder son burns midnight oil to work and still gets overshadowed by those wicked ministers in the court and my younger son is sitting like a dry fish in that harem."

"He doesn't like your face?" Lady Kim exclaims, fervently shaking her head, "Taehyung, stories about your beauty echoes in even our neighbouring kingdoms and far beyond. I don't think it's anything to do with your face. I think-"

She leans closer to Taehyung, narrowing her eyes, and Taehyung has to lean away in fright. "I think it's your attitude that stinks".

"My attitude?" It's Taehyung's turn to frown, "What is wrong with my attitude?"

"You look the way you are sitting boy, not even our servants sit like that". Taehyung immediately shuts his splayed legs as he sits upright.

"The way you eat", His mother almost looks like she is disgusted, "No omega in the streets of seven kingdoms would eat like that."

Taehyung drops the chicken leg he had picked up on the plate, using the back of his hand to wipe the gravy smeared on his lips.

Lady Kim just sighs, sulks in disappointment, rubbing his back in sympathy.

"It's okay my son, I have talked to the old lady Shin, she said she knows a lady who knows a lady who knows a potion that will attract the Emperor to you like a bee to a flower and he would never leave your bed."

Taehyung shudders at the image,shaking his head "Mother, I think I will get going now. Can I borrow some books from the library?"

His mother frowns, crumpling her handkerchief in her fist "Taehyung, why do you want to borrow books? You should leave these wasteful activities and focus on how to woo the king before your mother dies of-"

"Mother, I was actually looking for a book on 'Art of Seduction', I have heard it has great advice", Taehyung intervenes before his ear bleeds. It works because his mother is gasping, leaning closer to whisper, "Is there a book like that, son?" Taehyung nods, solemnly.

She waves her head, towards the Kim Household library, " Then go, quickly go get it, the sooner you seduce the Emperor the sooner we will return to our former glory."
