nicks pov:

Chris, Matt and I are all on the basketball team. Everytime we come into school, the cheerleaders are all up on my brothers. It gets annoying.

"Look at those dirty kids." Chris said, nodding his head towards the group of skateboarders.

"They're fucking gross." Matt muttered. I stayed silent.

"Pull up your goddamn pants, you loser!" Chris yelled towards them. (AN. STREET DREAMS REFERENCE LMAOAOO)

"ah shit! I forgot to grab something out my locker." I said, "I'll catch up with you guys."

"We can wait." Matt said quietly.

"Don't worry about it!" I said with a smile, heading back into the school. I turned around once more, walking backwards.

"I'll catch up!" I yelled, waving. Chris rolled his eyes at me and walked away.

Little did my brothers know, I hung out with those skateboarders . I could never tell them that, though. They already think I'm weird. They don't know I'm gay, but I think they suspect it. I never talk about the cheerleaders.

I waited behind a tree until they were down the street. The walk would last 30 minutes at least, so I was fine. Plenty of time. I would easily be able to lie and say I stopped by someplace.

One of the skateboarders waved at me, Nate. Madi also waved.

"Hey Nicky!" Nate said happily. He held his board tightly, working on his homework. Chris always says that they never do their work and are slackers-- not Nate.

Madi was also helping him. The school cares less until the clock strikes 5, then they shoo them away.

"Hey pretty boy, what's up?" A voice came behind me. I felt a hand ruffle my hair.

"Oh- hey Frankie!" I smiled at him, blushing like crazy. He was so incredibly gorgeous.

"Chill, Frankie Jesus." Madi said, shaking her head. Frankie just laughed and brushed it off. He held his board by his side. I looked down at it, littered with stickers of his favorite shops, bands, etc.

"I heard your brother over there telling me to pull up my pants earlier." Frankie whispered in my ear, I felt his hot breath on my cold skin. I shivered.

"You know, they aren't very open-minded." Nate said, Madi nodded in agreement.

"They won't listen to me about it." I responded in despair. Frankie looked surprised.

"You've talked to them about us?" He asked.

"Hinted." I corrected him. I sat beside Nate.

"Maybe I could teach you something." Frankie said with a grin, he brushed his dreads off his face. He held out his skinny hand. I gripped onto it as if it was the one thing saving me from death.
