A/N: Hey guys, I'm back with another chapter and I just wanted to let you guys know that the rest of the chapters of this book are going to be pretty short, I believe, or there'll be medium lengths. I'm not sure what you guys consider short, but I consider anything between 1100 to 1300 words to be short at least for me that will be short considering I am used to writing 2500-word chapters. A drabble for me is anything that's 1k and below. Regardless, whoever is still reading this book, I hope you guys enjoy it.

For the next week, all of you have been training nonstop along with all the other demon slayers, even if they weren't necessarily ready to be fighting uppermoons or Muzan himself. All of you- meaning the Hashira- still needed all hands on deck. All of you needed all the expertise, all the swordsmen, everyone and anyone who was willing to sacrifice their life for a chance at defeating Muzan and the other upper moons. You were not sure where the hunch was coming from, but you felt that this was it You and the other hashira were gonna be the ones to finally kill Muzan and put an end to the demon reign. Maybe you were wrong and overcompensating for a feeling that really wasn't there, but. it didn't stop you from hoping and believing. you didn't want to be a pessimist because that could hinder your ability to put your all and then some more into this future fight. You were sitting outside of your Estate after eating when you heard footsteps.
"I knew I would find you out here." You turned at the voice smiling at Obanai, who got used to talking to you a little bit more and wasn't as stiff and mean with Giyuu as he used to be in the beginning. It was a nice change of pace.
"Well, yeah, I was just thinking about the near future with this fight with Muzan and the upper moons. I know it is not right to think positively because there is a very high chance that we all could die but I would like to think that our potential sacrifices will not be in vain. I know that we all could die trying to kill him because he is of another time period, another world even. He shouldn't have ever existed. He and the rest of the demon should never have existed. It is too late to think of that though. It's too late for a lot of things, but, I would not stop thinking positively. When we do die because I'm pretty sure we are I would die with a smile knowing that I gave my all." The two of you stood silent, just looking out for a few minutes. Yes, the two of you should have been training, should have been talking with the others, making strategies, and whatnot. However, you were unsure If the two of you would have the chance to do that again, so you both just sat there and thought.
"... You already know how I feel about having a positive mindset in the field of work that we do. However, I would not deter you from changing your mindset. I do not think it is necessarily wrong to have especially considering this is most likely our end. We will go out fighting more likely and if the only thing keeping you going, keeping you strong and fighting is a positive mindset, no matter how true or false it may be, who am I to stop you?" You were looking at him out of the corner of your eye and you huffed pulling him in for a hug. He didn't stop you, but he did pretend to hate it, even though he snuggled a little bit into your chest.
"I'm going to miss you even though I got you right here. I'll miss you along with everyone else in the future." He didn't say much to that considering there wasn't much to say. He had no comforting words because he was going to miss you too. All of you were going to be in a fight to the death who knows when, with only skill and prayers. The two of you stayed there for a bit until Obanai pulled away from you standing up but, he held your hand urging you to come with him.
"Come on, the others are already at the Ubuyashiki estate, that's why I was looking for you originally but, we both got a little side-tracked." You nodded using his hand that was holding yours as leverage to stand up and grab your stuff as he led you from your own estate to the Ubuyashiki which was about half an hour away from you. The air was filled with comfortable silence as you thought about what he could possibly want to talk about. You really cared for him and the rational part of you felt like this was a goodbye without him saying it was but, you weren't going to act suspicious. You knew he had something up his sleeve that only his family knew about. Once the two of you made it both of you spaced out and greeted the family hiding a wince at the state Kagaya was in. This was another reason why Muzan had to die, so the Ubuyashiki bloodline didn't have to suffer anymore.
"I am sure all of you are wondering why I called you here today. We already had our hashira meeting and considering all the preparations needed for the upcoming war I would understand the confusion as to why all of you needed to be here." It was silent as he smiled moving his head side to side. Even though he was completely blind and very sick, his wife Amane, needed to hold him up, it still felt like he was seeing all of you. "I do not have a reason other than to say thank you. I know I would not get another chance to because all of you will be gone fighting and I do not know if any of you will be coming back. I do not want to regret not telling you how proud I am of all of you, how proud I am to call you all my children, even if we are close in age. All of you have become very dear to me and I thank you for bringing me joy in my short lifespan." He went to bow but, all of you stopped him talking over each other and bowing to him and his family unable to get the words out fast enough.
"WE LOVE YOU UBUYASHIKI-SAN!" It was Mitsuri who said this and everyone agreed and to your relief, he didn't try bowing anymore and even gave a small chuckle followed by a pained wheeze. When you saw the blood he tried to hide you knew then that he wasn't only saying thank you but, he was saying goodbye as well.
