Chapter Three: Night Falls | Proposal

Mal and Evie both had their phones to their ears. "They're all asleep. Everyone." Evie looked around the sleeping citizens.

"I can't get Ben." Mal says as they all continued to walk.

"Or Dizzy and Doug." Evie says as she looks down at her phone and back up at Mal with a worried expression.

"Or Jane the signals out." Carlos adds, as he looks at them.

"Is that Auradon Prep." Celia asks as she points towards the school.

"Yeah. When everyone wakes up, you're going to love it." Carlos responded to her with a smile.

"Geez. Everything is so..." Gil looks around with a confused look.

"Freaky." Jay says as he was beside Gil "..green." Gil said as Jay looks at him confused.

"You have leaves on your trees. And what are those colored things on the bushes?" Gil asks Jay as he points towards the bushes.

"Uh. Flowers?" Jay gestured behind him.

"Flowers are pretty." Gil says with smile.

"Cantaloupe!" Gil says with excitement as he picked up the bowl what was on the table. "Mm! Mm!"Gil hums, as he was happily munching on the fruit.

"We don't have fresh fruit on the Isle, remember?" Uma states as Jay looks over at her.

"Thank you." Gil says as he places the bowl down as he looked at Jay.

"They're grapes" Jay placing his hand on Gil's shoulder before walking away.

"Grapes? I love grapes." Gil takes another grape and puts it into his mouth.

Haden walked to one of the sleeping citizens, and leant beside them.

Uma sat beside him, as Haden rolled his eyes.

"Hey." She simply said.

Haden said nothing.

"How are you?" She continued.

He again said nothing.

"Are you ever gon' talk to me again?" She asked him.

"Not if I can help it." He told her.

"Why not?" She followed up.

"Maybe because you tried to take over Auradon?" He told her.

"You did too." She said, smirking. "And you nearly killed me." She added.

"You attacked us first." He fired back. "And you kidnapped Ben."

She looked down. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry." Haden finally looked at her. "Not just for Ben. And for attacking you. For how I was when we were together. You deserved better."

He didn't expect this at all. She was apologizing. And actually sounded sincere. "You can make up for it now. Just help us." He said.

Uma smiled lightly at him, before looking at a certain blue haired someone. "I'm pretty sure your girl wants to kill me."

Haden looked up and saw Evie glaring at Uma. "You're fine. I'll go talk to her."

He left his position on his table and walked over to Evie. "What was that abo-" She was cut off by Haden kissing her passionately.

"I love you." He told her.

She smiled at him and hugged him, neither noticing Uma turn away from the sight after he kissed her.

Harry had walked over to a guy who was sleeping and pulls out his wallet, "I believe I deserve some compensation for my muscles, my wile, and my role in this endeavor."
