You look up to see who your savior is and find it's another skeleton, though he is taller, skinnier and seems to be more up-beat. He stares down at you with an exited smile. You wonder how he and the smaller skeleton could be related given the drastic differences.
*You ask if he and Sans are really brothers*
"Oh! Yes, we are. How observant of you human! Your just as smart as they say..." He says happily. He seems to have forgot that he told you he was his brother.
You stand up and dust yourself off, looking at Sans. Suddenly Papyrus speaks up "Worry not human, I am here now, he cannot hurt you any longer" His gaze following yours to his brother. He pauses to seeming check him over before he turns on his heels yelling out that you "Must follow him" and walking towards the door at the end of the room.
Confused, you look back at the smaller skeleton defenseless on the floor, passed out. Is he really going to just leave his brother here? Didn't he say that it's kill or be killed down here? What if he got hurt..? You finally decide pick him up, he's surprisingly heavy for being a skeleton. You then follow after Papyrus
When you finally catch up to him, he starts to speak. "As caretaker of the RUINS, I am responsible for any new citizens. You are new here so that means you must come with me, to my house, human!" You wonder what he means by "citizen"....
Now having time to really look at him, Papyrus seems almost perfectly up-kept in his purple and white shirt, white scarf and purple shoes. You wonder if he ever gets cold with his.. vertebrae...? not being covered. The questions you have only build up. He glances behind him at you and stops, eyes locked onto Sans.
"Why have you brought him? He will be fine human, put him down." He says less than enthusiastically. He seems rather unsure when it comes to Sans, you have noticed. Suddenly Sans starts to stir, as if about to wake up. You put him down and step back, behind Papyrus. You are unsure if his intentions are truly good, but at least he hasn't tried to kill you.
Papyrus takes your hand and starts to walk off away from Sans, leaving him to wake up on his own. You don't resist as you walk into a room with 6 big pressure plates on the floor, and a closed door. Papyrus looks at you then back to the puzzle excitedly, then speaks "The RUINS is made up of puzzles, Ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. You have to complete the puzzle before you can continue. Let me demonstrate for you!" He proceeds to walk over to the pressure plates and walk over 3 out of 6 of them and then pull a lever on the wall nearby. The door opens. He puts his hands on his hips and declares loudly "Nyeheh! See human? It's not that hard! Come on, to the next room!" He walks quickly into the next room. You can easily guess he's quite a big fan of puzzles.
The next room is a hallway, with a series of switches on the long wall. You glance at Papyrus for an explanation. "Ok, human! Time for your very first puzzle! Now, do you see the switches on the wall? If the correct ones are flipped, then they turn off the spikes that block the way into the next room!" He gesture towards the exit. You peer down the long walkway and can see big metal spikes coming up through the floor, blocking your way out.
"As you can see, some switches are labeled. Please ignore those, i wrongly labeled them to trick others coming through here! Nye heh heh!"
You walk toward two switches that are next to each-other. One is labeled "This switch is the correct one!" You can see the words "incorrect one" scribbled out next to it. You flip the un-labeled switch and continue on to the other ones, flipping the ones without the poorly written distractions. Once you finish you hear a large *click* and look over to see the spikes have moved into the ground, to allow for safe passing.
