I woke to the sun shooting through the blinds and curtains. I looked around adjusting my eyes. I flipped the covers off of my naked body and got up.
"Where you going Niq" Mike said in a groggy voice.
"To take a shower babe" I said back.
"Aight" He said going back to sleep.
I walked inside the bathroom and started the water. I waited until it started steaming. I hoped in and rinsed all the dirty away from last night. I heard the door open and Mike came in the shower behind me. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed on my neck. I smiled.
I loved this side of Mike. He was a real sweetheart. He washed me off and himself and we got out. I decided to wear high waisted cut tie dye pants and a white half shirt. I styled my hair in curls. I added some make up under my bruise and some red lipstick on my lips.
I hear Mike on the phone.
"Yea baby I got you" He said laughing. I came around the corny.
"Yea you know I love you girl" He said .
I came into the room and he hung up.
"Who's your little girlfriend" I asked putting weight on one leg.
"Don't I always tell you to mind yo damn business." He said.
"Okay but that bitch is my business , if she talking to my man" I said stepping closer to him.
"Aye get out my face and don't call her no bitch" He said defending her . This punk ass nigga.
"Now you defending her that bitch. I'm so done with yo punk as , I swear one day ima leave yo dumb ass" I said . His eye widened and his face clenched and he mugged my face and I fell and hit my head on the closet door. He grabbed my hair and pulled me up.
"Watch yo mouth Niq" He said slamming me back down and walking out the house. I didn't even cry. I was so sick of his bullshit that it didn't even hurt me any more. I grabbed two big suit cases and packed them. I grabbed 1,000 dollars and my car keys and luggage and walked out the house.
I put on Fuck That Bitch , cus that was the mood I was in. I went to the most extravagant hotel. The Timpton.
"Hi how may I help you" The lady asked.
"Yea a suit for one" I said.
"Yes ma'am , that will be 250.78" She said . I grabbed the exact amount and grabbed my key.
"Oh and don't tell anyone my room number or I will sue" I said . She nodded in agreement. I looked on the back of my card for the room floor and number.
Floor 3 room 324.
I walked inside the room and it was beautiful. I was gone be here for a while. I sat in my bed and text Anyia.

I grabbed my keys and walked out my room down to the lobby out the hotel. I got in my car and dashed to Aniya house. I looked across the street from her house and someone was moving in. I got out and walked up to they door and knocked. Her mom answered .
"Hey baby" She said.
"Hey mama" I said giving her a hug. I walked inside the living room and let me tell you these niggas not from New York. I waved to them and they waved back. The main one that caught my eye was the dark skin with the taper. I walked inside the kitchen looking for Aniya and she was smashing on chips. I grabbed a few.
"Sexy right" She said .
"Hell yes . They not from here" I said.
"They from Georgia. I might just leave sooner" She said laughing.
"Damn" I said looking back inside the living room.
I walked back inside the living room. I waved at them.
"How are you guys" I asked
They all nodded.
"I hear your not from around here" I said.
"Nah but you know where we can get some good food?" A light skin asked.
"Yea , Anyia you tryna go" I asked. She nodded fast.
"Aight lets go" I said grabbing my keys.

We pulled up to Okies . The best burger joint round New York. We got out our cars and walked inside.
"Hello" The bubbly lady said. I smiled back .
"Table for 5" I said. She nodded and gestured for us to follow her to a booth. We sat and she gave us menus.
"Lemme know when you guys are done" She said . I said ok and she left. While we looked through the menus I decided to make conversation.
"So . How long are you guys in New York" I asked.
"For a month at most" Chaz said . Chaz is the light skin , Tyrin is the brown skin with hazel eyes and Jessiah is the dark skin.
"For?" Niya asked.
"Business, anything else" Jessiah said. Also learned Jessiah is rude. She mugged him and Tyrin laughed I didn't think Chaz caught it.
"Well , we've just graduated-" I was cut off .
"You mean to tell me yall just graduated high school ? And yall only at least 18 & we 23" Chaz said . I laughed .
"As I was saying we graduated from College and we're going to Georgia in a few. Maybe we can hang sometimes" I said . Chaz and Tyrin nodded.
We ordered our food and started eating and making more conversation . They pretty cool and Chaz the funny one. Jessiah laughed a few times here and there , but I think he had a bad vibe on us. Oh well.
After dinner I took Niya them home and I went home myself. I walked inside my house. Mike was sitting on the couch with a large bottle of Hennessy . His eye were blood shot red and he looked tense. I walked inside our room. I was taking my shoes and clothes off when Mike spoke and scared me.
"Who was them boys you was with at Oaklies" He asked taking another sip.
"Some guys new to New York . I just showed them the best food here" i said truthfully.
"Couldn't they have someone else do it" He asked. I scoffed and turned back around . He came up and pulled my hair and bent me back to him and he started talking and I smelt the beer on his breath.
"You fucking on of em"He asked
"What !? No Mike I'm not fucking one of them . " I said shocked he'd even fix his mouth to say that. he let me go and bent me over he kissed my back and up. He got up and went upstairs to the room to take a shower.
"Bastard" I said silent. I can't wait till we go to Georgia . No more Mike and especially no more abuse. I should have my brothers kill his lil ass off. But im not that type of person.
I went back to my car and headed towards the hotel. I kicked of my shoes and hopped on top of my bed looking at the ceiling. My eyes slowly got low and I was out like a light.
