Chapter 20: Matrimony Pt 2

I couldn't believe that I actually today I married the love of my life. Things were finally starting to fall in place for us. Trent has been attending a private school and maintains a high honor roll. We even managed to get him to talk to his mother. Angie actually did clean herself up. She moved back into town and got a decent job at a hospital cleaning. She gets Trent on weekends and they work on their relationship.

At first Trent didn't want to go but soon enough he decided on his own that he wanted to. He said he felt like his Dad would want him to make things right with her. Now they both are pretty close, though Trent says he wants to remain with Kiara and I, he likes being with her now.

Things with Bryan are much better. Though I still am skeptical about him and Kiara, they do both have a child together and I gotta deal with the fact they have to co-parent together. But he does have a girlfriend now, been together roughly 4 months according to Kiara. Happy long as he stays away from what's mine. But now that Malachi is just about 9 months old, and in just about everything. Plus he's changed a lot, he went from looking like Kiara to looking identical to Bryan.

Things with my parents are definitely better as well. After a rocky couple of weeks, I finally decided, with the help of Kiara, to talk to my parents. Now things are much better. My father and I even took a trip to visit Khalil, much like how I was, my father didn't wanna go at first but eventually gave in. Now every couple of weeks we stop by and put down some flowers or something.

Rana and Audrey have been definite pains in Kiara and I's relationship. Though Audrey left us alone after her and Kiara's confrontation, she still trys every once in awhile to send me emails and stuff but I don't pay that stuff any mind. Rana on the other hand, we had to get a restraining order against her, she ended up stalking Kiara home from the store one night and that was enough for us to get one. Recently we haven't had problems but she is crazy so we never let our guard down.

Lastly Kiara and I, though her and I fuss and fight we love each other so much. We attended counseling for 7 months, and we learned a lot together. And within those 7 months we ended up discovering we are going to have a new addition, Kali Brielle Hinton, my baby girl. Finally allowing me to have my first biological child. Though she wasn't exactly planned, she's one of the best things that happened to me. But not only is Kiara and I's relationship strengthen, but our love has too.

After snapping what felt like hundreds of pictures, Kiara and I, along with the whole bridal party went into the limo. We headed to the reception and honestly I was excited, I was beyond ready to dance and have fun with my wife. I sat next to Kiara, and started to rub her rounded belly.

"I love both of you." I said to her.

"We love you too." She smiled

"I can't believe you're officially mine."

"Me either." She interlocked her fingers with mine as we held hands.

"You ready to party?"

"I'm ready to eat, Kali and I are starving."

I chuckled and said "Y'all are some eating girls."

Kiara looked at me and said "Well she gets it from her Daddy."

Honestly I loved the way that sounded. It had a certain ring to it that made me smile.

We finally arrived at the venue and it looked like everyone was already there. We ended up leaving Malachi with my aunt cause I knew he'd probably be all over the place.
