Asher's Pov
"We got someone dealin' and it ain't those Crimson boys."
Viper announced as the members of the club, circle around the church table.
He threw down a clear packet full of white substances towards the center of the table.
"How can you be so sure it ain't the Crimsons. " Ryder's voice graveled through the back of the room. Ignoring the fact it looked as if he just crawled out of bed. My annoyance at who could possibly be there in his bed at the moment ticked a fire low in my gut. My jaw clenching at the visual. My fist itching to swing on him from last night indiscretions that I walked into
"It's not stamped with their usual seal, and if Shortstop is right about his connections. They haven't been dealing blow ever since the D.E.A agents busted their leader two years ago."
"Prez is right. My guy said that since Shiv got greedy other forms of narcotics is to much heat for them to move. No way this new guy is willingly to put that much attention on them. Especially since 12 is always lurking around their spot." Shortstop lean back into his chair as he commented.
I glance over at Viper as I take out a cigerette. Lighting the menthol as I asked. "You think it could be Devil Rider MC?"
He gives me a pointed look before shaking his head. "Not sure. Could be. They haven't been much trouble since..."
He trained off but we all knew what he was getting out. Our rival gang hasn't been much trouble since Viper killed their leader years ago. But that doesn't stop a dead silence to rush over the room for a period as the men steal sly glances over at Lu who seemed uninterested as she picked her nails with the tip of her knife.
The reason we are at war with the Devil MC is because of what went down between Lu and Viper's past. Many heard stories of it, but no one knows their truth only they do.
Shuffled feet and quiet coughs adverts the attention from her as we observe Viper.
Him watching her carefully as she avoids eye contact, but with Lu you never know she is always in her own little world. She may not even be aware any attention was on her.
"Anyways. Back to pressing matters. Regardless who is selling the blow it can't be sold in our territory. I ain't one to stop a party, but it ain't our product and we can't have overdoses with faulty shit. That will just lead unwanted attention on us."
Everyone agrees that we need to know who is selling. Therefore a plan will be made for negotiations.
"Other matters. Shortstop and Spider new business adventure for y'all. Darlins is looking at new owners. I'm sure y'all will be benefit on making the place a fine establishment."
Loud whistles and low laughs filtered around the room at the club taking ownership of Darlins it didn't take long to convince Viper to buy out old Leon of the titty bar. As long as Lavey works there and is in the protection of the club my worry for her will be ebbed.
A few more ins and outs as they talk matters of club business, but my attention was averted towards what I happened to stumble upon last night in search of another drink.
Lavey's flushed cheeks and the way her mouth barley open as beautiful sounds escaped her lips. She was alluring as she took pleasure for herself. Yet it made me feel like a complete asshole that the minute I came across Lavender in the midst of an orgasm that my dick decided then it wanted to work.
Not when Jade had her seductive lips wrapped around it. And her gifted tongue stroked all the right parts of me. No not even then did my cock become alert. It was the moment I saw Lavender on top of Ryder riding his hand as she took what was pleasurable for her.
The action making the blood beneath my skin flow hot. It made me guilty that I watched without restraint and the fact that when she finally noticed me. Lavender didn't shy away from the fact, she gave me a smile and her eyes danced with forbidden things that I couldn't give her.
"Ash."
A deep voice breaking me from my thoughts. "Yeah." I answered as I turned into the direction of Viper. I noticed in my time of my mind wandering that church had ended. Empty chairs scattered around as people left to continued on with their days.
His eyes warranted with dark circles, and wrinkles. Viper was only thirty-six, but withered years of being king of the MC put alot of age onto him.
"Ya alright brother." I softly sweep a hand down my face before giving him a sly smile.
"Should be asking you the same." He grunts his answer as if that was a 'thank you' enough that I worry for him the same as he does the members of the club.
"You trust that friend of yours." His question taking me by surprise as he mentions Goon.
Without a doubt or hesitation I reply. "With my life."
I know alot of members of the club don't understand Goon and mine's relationship but it wasn't for them to understand they just needed to trust me that I would vouch for him until I'm buried in the ground.
Viper watched me carefully before nodding his head. "Do you think he could talk to his old connections."
Curiously, my hands itch for another cigerette but I refrain from lighting up. "I could ask, but many don't even know he is out let alone alive."
"Hmm." Viper replied before changing the subject.
"Need you to take a few days out of town." My interest peaked at that.
"And where will I be going?"
"To check on the boys upstate and see if the Devils are dealing under false logos. We can't have them in our territory. Cyrus's kid has finally gotten out of diapers and has taken the mantle his father left. The kid going by Demon now."
A snort fell from my mouth at the sound of Derek's ridiculous new name. Before I went in the kid was scared of his own shadown let alone ballsy enough to run a crew as vindictive as Devil MC.
A smirk upon Viper's lips let me know he found the humor in it as well. But the gravity in his eyes made the laughter fall short. "I wouldn't underestimate him. I've heard down the grapevine he's followin' his father's footsteps and his reputation is highly feared around that area. "
"Just so we're clear. We are talking about the same Derek Campbell. The boy who would get caught with petty crimes of peeping in girls locker rooms and hiding behind daddy when confronted."
Viper shrugged and he leaned back into his chair. Legs splayed wide, his six foot six frame swallowing the chair. "His crimes have come up since then. Twelve years has been a long time. Anybody can change."
Shaking my heard at the disbelief that Derek Campbell finally got off his mom's tit let alone his dad's to finally be man enough to play with the big boys. This will be amusing.
"So you want me to look around see what I can find."
"Yeah. Your face isn't as recognizable as the others, and I need to know what's going on up there without causing a scene. Keep it low key as possible. Don't start nothing. We don't need the Devils to know we are snooping around."
"When have I ever started trouble." I said half joking, but the humor fell flat as he shook his head.
"You aren't who I'm worried about. Ryder is going with you. No one knows his face either. and cant have the vice Prez leaving without backup."
The mention at Ryders name had my teeth grinding once again. "How long will I be gone." No room for argument when Viper wanted something he usual got it.
"Two days. You leave Sunday." With that Viper left the room as the idea of going on a road trip with Ryder sounded as fun as letting hell hounds collect my soul.
