Charlie had slept away the rest of his birthday and the day after that. He had never felt this tired in his life before, it had always been a struggle to fall asleep in the first place. He had many nights he would lay awake for hours or stayed too long on his phone.
Now he had slept almost entirely uninterrupted. His father had come into his room a couple of times to give him something to eat and leave something to drink for him. His father cleaned his room a little by picking up his dirty laundry to clean, mostly now that he was in heat and the smell would stick to his clothes.
He had spent his first day after he got home, he spent it entirely asleep, the second day he was still too tired to do anything but sleep and occasionally answer texts of his friends. But more then that wasn't his body up to.
On the third day, he was feeling a bit better and he could hold a brief conversation with his sister without falling asleep halfway through. His sister had presented last year as an alpha. And it somehow just made sense that she is. Charlie had felt better when his sister came to cuddle on the bed with him and had a conversation about how badly it had gone around the school.
Tori had to break the bad news to him somehow, she didn't waste time in gentleness. She just ripped the bandage off, she knew that Charlie would appreciate that more then try to talk around it before breaking the news.
Everyone now knew that Charlie had presented as the only male omega in the school. There were three other girls that had presented as omega, one was a girl named Tara Jones and his friend, Elle. The other one he didn't know, or know the name of. It made him feel like his world was gonna crumble down.
At least she was honest and he appreciated that. However, she did say that most people didn't think much of it. That they knew but had more sympathy for him then that they had thought of him as a freak. Mostly the girls from Higgs hadn't thought much of it. Tori didn't hear any girls in her year that thought of Charlie badly.
She did hear rumours about Nick Nelson having gone to the coach about the rugby team's behaviour towards Charlie. She had seen the rugby team train the other day and it looked more like Coach Singh had made it into some bootcamp slash military punishment camp.
It was odd to see but she had seen Nick run up to her in his rugby outfit and asked about Charlie. Which she thought to be sweet of the year 10, who she had heard had protected her little brother from becoming the latest male omega rape incident.
She had thought Nick had looked a bit cold that day in just his t-shirt in the middle of the rain, but when she went into Charlie's bedroom to check up on him, she understood why. Charlie was still cosily sleeping in Nick's hoodie and she could smell the alpha's scent on it. She had a suspicion that there was something more between her brother and Nick then the two knew. Call it a sister's intuition.
On the fourth day, Charlie felt like he didn't want to sleep the majority of his day away. The stomach pain had been reduced to nothing but a bit of soar muscles and his father told him he didn't smell like heat anymore.
