"Girl, I can't believe you smoked for the first time without me!" Camryn says as she does her makeup in my mirror. "It was with Kyle, so it was just a little moment for us." I shrug, "Ya two so cute. Me and Jenn can't go on dates 'cause she doesn't like them, she likes to just chill in the crib." She says in annoyance. "They better not start acting different now that they blowing up." She then says. Their song recently has been blowing up and they're starting to get recognized. "And they better make it known that they taken, you know how fangirls get," I stated and she laughed.
"Right. I'll fuck a bitch up over mine." She agrees. Today, we were just supposed to be getting our hair and nails done. "Can I come with ya? I need to get my nails done." Skylar comes to my room from the kitchen. "Sure, just don't get extra stuff on ya nails. I'm not tryna spend my whole paycheck on your nails." I tell her and she runs to her room happily. "I think she has a boyfriend," I tell Cam. "No way, Skylar? Why you think that?" She asks me and I shrug. "She's been dressing up more, hanging out more, and she always acts mad suspicious when I leave the house." I tell her.
"Maybe she just has new friends." She shrugs, "Give her the benefit of the doubt." I roll my eyes and open my phone. "Wsp Ma" Kyle texts me. I smile and open the messages to text him back. "Oh, not you smiling at your phone." Cam laughs and walks over to me. "Not too much, you be smiling texting Jenn. I don't wanna hear it." I snap at her and she laughs, "Well played."
~Time Skip~
After getting my hair and nails done, Sky and I made our way home on the bus. "So, how's school?" i ask her. her face was buried in her phone, "Huh?" She asked. "I said how's school?" I ask again. "Oh, it's pretty good. You know, learning and stuff." She answers and goes back to her phone. "Any new friends?" I then ask and she puts her phone down. "No. Why do you care so much about my social life all of a sudden?" She asked with an attitude. "Don't get an attitude wit me. I'm just asking." I put my hands up in surrender. "Well, don't." She says and goes back on her phone. This makes me think she does have a boyfriend. I mean, I don't care if she does but I'd hope that she'd tell me. Unless she's doing something she shouldn't be doing..
We get off the bus and walk to our building. We were completely silent, since she has a little attitude with me. Maybe I shouldn't have been asking so many questions anyway, I don't want to force answers out of her. We get into the apartment and Sky goes straight to her room. I sigh and go to my room to get comfortable.
Incoming facetime call
Kyle: Wassup, Ma
Zariya: Hey
Kyle: You just got home?
Zariya: Yeah. What you doing?
Kyle: Nothing. I'm at Ta crib, we rolling up.
Zariya: Aight, well i'm bouta just chill here
Kyle: Want me to pull up?
Zariya: I'm good. I might take a little nap.
Kyle: Aight. You ate?
Zariya: Would you be mad if I say no?
Kyle: A lil bit
Zariya: Then yeah I ate.
Kyle: Lying ass. I'mma text you though.
Zariya: Bye, Kyle.
Kyle: talk to you late, Ma
About ten minutes after we got off of the phone, I get a text message from Kyle. It was a screenshot of an UberEats tracking. He then sent, "Go downstairs and get ya food." I smile and leave the house. He's so sweet.
