Taehyung could've sworn he heard an awful, excruciating sobbing sound echo in the distance as Jungkook evaporated into the darkness, away from the hubbub of the wedding.
He knew it was excruciating for Jungkook. He didn't realize how excruciating it would be for him too.
Taehyung put a hand to his brow, reeling for a moment before quietly leaving without saying goodbye. No one was looking for him anyways.
Jungkook made it home, mostly, without losing control of the car despite his blurry vision and unbounded heartache. Once he got inside, though, it all crashed down. He just sat in the dark in front of his ancient laptop, feeling like he had words for the first time in ages, yet he couldn't gather them up to get them out.
He could only stare at the dark screen and listen to the static in his head before realizing it was his phone.

GreatIt was painful on both sides. Jungkook let it pour over him, head on the desk.
Just a few blocks away, Taehyung couldn't bear to stay still, he left the house, walking for hours until his legs shook.
Eventually, his phone began going off but he silenced it, ignoring Yoongi.
🌌🌌🌌
The next day, Hobi had enough of a clue from Yoongi to get the picture that something had happened. Something rather disastrous.
"It's not our business," Yoongi had shrugged before making off to deal with Taehyung, who seemed like he was teetering on the edge of disaster.
Hobi had narrowed his eyes and fumed at the hypocrisy, announcing that they needed to stop seeing this as a one-sided situation.
He called Jin and told him to meet at Jungkook's house, where they nodded at each other on the front step and then let themselves in. It was all business, as though they had donned their armor.
The house was dark, despite it being the middle of the day. Dark and gloomy, dusty without trying.
Jungkook was sitting in the dining room at the oversized walnut table looking down at his coffee.
He didn't look outwardly upset, though he was puffy, like he'd been sleeping only moments ago.It was eerie, and Hobi exchanged a glance with Jin as they sat on either side of Jungkook. They waited for a moment, deciding what they should say when the silence became too deafening.
"Honey, don't let him get to you," Hobi softly murmured, tapping a finger on the younger's forearm.
Jungkook grumbled, withdrawn, barely rousing from his trance.
