"Alex, food's here," Miles says after hearing the doorbell ring.

"Mmh..." Alex groaned, feeling Miles' hands shake his shoulders.

"C'mon, I need to bring tha' food inside..."

"Fine..." Alex sat up with the help of Miles.

"Stay there, I'll be back," Miles says, receiving a small nod in return.

Soon after, the house was filled with the aroma of pasta.

"Dig in," Miles pat Alex on the back before taking a portion of his own.

Miles was a bit disappointed after seeing Alex finish only about half his plate, but he believed it was better than nothing.

Miles observed Alex's face, seemingly dull and pale, staring out into space. But a few seconds later, Miles noticed Alex's breathing start to labor, tears dripping out his eyes.

Miles hesitates before taking Alex into his arms, gently patting Alex's back. "It's okay, Al, let it out..."

"Please... I... I miss her so much, Mi," Alex choked between sobs, tears falling onto Miles' shoulder. His arm attempted to reach out for the half-empty beer bottle, soon getting cut off by Miles' hand.

"No, Alex," Miles brings Alex deeper into his grasp. "Alcohol isn't going to help you," he gently rubbed Alex's wrist.

Unlike before, Alex didn't complain and remained sobbing into Miles' shirt. 'I miss her' is all he'd cry.
