These first five or ten chapters or something (I don't know, I'm bad at predicting on how many prologue chapters should be) will not be long. These will typically be between ten to fifteen minutes at least. Just know, they won't be long. However, once we get to the meat and potatoes of things, the actual story, chapters will then begin to pick up in word count and begin to be longer.

Anyway, with this little message out of the way, without further ado, here is the next chapter of A Demon King's Heart. Hope you guys enjoy.

Master Biblia hummed to himself a delightful tune, his lamp turned on as it sat on top of his dark lacquered desk, illuminating the pages of the large book he was reading. He was dismissing the current paperwork he was supposed to work on, reports of dozens of mythical monsters appearing around the world, others referring to a magical terrorist group running amok.

Obviously, these reports and manuscripts seemed rather concerning, but Master Biblia didn't pay any heed to them at all.

Continuing to read his delightful little novel to himself, the light of his lamp flickered. Whilst his humming had stopped, his cheshire grin remained as his red eyes glanced up at the door. Though his lips only seemed to have widened, watching as a red-orange magic crest had appeared on the wooden floorboard. Flickering flames and yellow sparks erupted, coming out of the torrential pillar of flames was what seemed to be a young woman. However, her actual age didn't dictate what she physically looked like.

Blessed with the appearance of a beautiful young woman that seemed to be in her early twenties, serenely exquisite long blonde hair with a left braid and a black rose pin at the top. An outfit consisting of quite the revealing features and highlighting her curves and voluptuous figure, a long black gown that had red ruffles at the end of the skirt, and an accompanying waistband. Finishing the apparel off, she wore black gloves that reached up to her shoulders and black heels. Lastly, her fiery orange gaze, almost akin to the color of amber was set on the pale-haired man, looking quite displeased.

"What is it you want, you old geezer?" She sneered. "Don't you know I'm busy?"

Master Biblia merely chuckled. "Now, is that any way to treat your employer? Especially since a beauty like you shouldn't be talking with such vulgar language—"

The pale-haired man couldn't finish his sentence, a flaming ball heading toward him. Though with a simple wave of his hand, he casts a simple barrier that easily blocks the attack. He was clearly enjoying the annoyed expression shown on the woman's face, her hand extended forward as flames began to die down from the tips of her fingers.

"Quit your blabbering, you goddamn pervert. The reason I'm not working in my teaching position right now is because you assigned me to do something for you. That's why I have my student taking care of things for me."

"Ah, yes. Lorenz has been a wonderful help teaching the students. Even if his methods may be unorthodox for some of our other professors."

"Well, I didn't respond to your call to talk about him," she quickly said. Placing her hand on her hip, leaning to one side, she raises an eyebrow. "So? What is it this time?"

Getting up from his desk, he turned to the window behind him, gazing out. "It is but a simple task, really. I'm assigning you to be a private teacher to a new transfer student we recently added to our roster."

The blonde merely sighed in annoyance. "Are you serious? You called me back here to do another teaching position? To some random kid? I'm done taking apprentices. I've said before that Lorenz was to be my last one."

"Ah, but here's the thing, my lovely witch. This boy has no control of his powers whatsoever."

"So? How is that my problem?"
