The hallways were crowded with knowledge seeking freshmen, boring sophomores, rebellious and nerdy juniors, and sex craving seniors. I'm so glad to be a junior this year, one more year and I can age out of the system. I'm gonna be turning 17 in a few months so after that I'll be one year away of being emaciated.

I retrieved my folded up schedule from my backpack and opened it to reveal my locker number and com. I followed the wall of blue lockers until I reached number C175. I opened the locker and shoved a few binders on the top shelf, I slammed the locker shut and continued to walk to class.

I arrived in a science room where I assume my first period is, I opened the door to find the room partially crowded. Some kids sat on the tables and chatted with their friends, some were taking selfies, some were texting their friends, some were even reading the textbook. I found an open seat and studied the blank room, the walls were coated in beige paint, the room had many posters containing "fun facts" about periodic table and chemical formulas.

The teacher quietly sat at her desk and studied her computer, she occasionally looked at the class in pure disgust then returned to her computer screen. Loud noises filled my ears as the red-headed teacher yelled at the class settle down.

"Sit down everyone" She yelped. "I am Mrs.Lanson your science teacher. I have been teaching for over 20 years and hate all you hormone filled teenagers, the only reason I am here is because it was the only job open."

I looked down at my desk and studied the words engraved into the desk. The words were hard to make out but I am pretty sure they were something bad. I blocked out the teachers worthless babbling and observed the teenagers that crowded the room. Something was off about the people that occupied the desks, one of them didn't smell like the rest, he didn't smell...human.

I had narrowed it down between the two kids that sat at the lab table next to me until the teacher decided to give us assigned lab partners. The called names two at a time and they slowly filled the tables once more. The finally called my name along with some kid named Adam. I sat at the table and placed my backpack on the floor.

I think he's the one I've been smelling, he definitely smelt different then everyone else. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, he just smelt different. I know I sound crazy but it's true, most people just smell the same, all humans smell the same, but others don't. One of the perks of having a heightened sense on smell guess.

I continued to stare at the desk and tattle my thumbs until the kid next to me decide to nudge me and start talking to me.

"Hey, you okay?" Adam questioned.

"Yeah. I'm fine..." I spoke still staring down at the table.

"Well.. I'm Adam" He spoke holding out his hand.

"Anna" I responded shaking his open hand.

I looked up from the table to see a tall guy will short brown hair spiked in the from. I continued to observe his facial features, he had bright grey eyes and a noticeable jawline. He wore a black V-neck and had a necklace similar to mine. It was a black felt string with a cut out of a wolf in silver. I stared the necklace for a long time until he finally spoke again.

"What happened to your lip?" Adam questioned.

"uh..m" I stuttered. "I-I fell.. this morning."

I touched my lip to find out it had started bleeding again. I covered my lip with the sleeve of my jacket until the end of class. Adam continued to stare at me as I quickly exited the room with the rest of the class. What was his problem?

One question burst through all the others that occupied my brain, did he know about me? I pushed the thought away and walked towards my next class. I walked along the long poster filled hallway until I reached room 307. I entered the room to find a bunch of empty seats. I sat in one of the far back desks and pulled out my history textbook.

"Is this seat taken?" a familiar voice spoke, it was Adam.
