Gasping, I find myself sitting on my chair at the library in cold sweat trembling uncontrollably.

Did I doze off at some point during my research?

Fuck.

What the hell was that dream?

I wrap my arms around my chest and pull up my knees.

Silence persists again, and I can't shake off the fear that has now found a way to settle in my heart.

No, I wasn't afraid of the ghosts; instead, I am fearful of the secrets that lay beneath this mysterious crime.

"Taehyung?" I hear Jeongguk's voice, filled with worry. "Are you alright? "

"Give me a minute," I say, not looking at him.

Not saying anything more, I bury my face into my cold sweaty hands.

I open my eyes after I feel my heart calm down by slights.

When I do, Jeongguk is staring at me. His eyes are glazed but drowning in partial worry.

He rests the book in his hand on the table and looks as if he's about to say something.

A call disrupts us Incoming call Park Jimin. I answer the call.

"what is it?" His voice greets me on the other end only, it isn't his usual energetic voice.

Instead, it is dull and strained, and this only made me cringe with worry.

Did Jimin find Summer?

Was there something wrong?

"It's Summer," he says.

"Summer?" I cock my head to one side and blink, my silence a sign of confusion.

The night just keeps getting stranger and stranger.

But right now, I am just plain old confused.

"The girl who babysat for the Lee family. Remember? Choi Summer?"

"Yeah, I remember her Jimin. what about her?"

There is something about the tone of his voice that tells me it's not good news. I close my laptop shut and put it in my bag.

"She's dead," Jimin states, his voice grim.

"Tae, there is some serious shit going on here. It'll be better if you come and see for yourself. All I can say at this point is that she killed herself. No letters, no explanations or whatsoever."

"Great." I sigh. "The only person who can tell me about the missing facts is dead. Wow. My case just keeps getting better and better."

I am annoyed.

"Where do you need me?" Jeongguk raises his eyebrows.

I can already tell he is wondering who I am talking about.

"37 Daero road. I'll send you the location," he answers.

What the hell is happening around here?

I nod even though he can't see me and pocket my phone

"Got called on for work. I'll see you tomorrow," I say, "looks like you need a break too."

Jeongguk nods.

"Who is it?" He asks, removing his glasses.

His face donned a more severe expression now.

"What? The ghost didn't tell you this time?" I regret saying those words the minute they spilt from my mouth.
