My second chance (A Loic Nottet fanfic)

Chapter 16- Close call

It's been almost a month since i last saw Loic and I really miss him, sure we've spoke on the phone and been on Skype to each other but it's not the same as having him right by my side. Today was the day of my last exam and I couldn't wait to get it over and done with so I could get home and call Loic, however the journey coming back from school wasn't how I expected it to go. The driver had somehow managed to loose control of the bus and we ended up in a ditch, all I remember before passing out was telling the bus driver where to go as he was new.
(Loic's POV)
I was currently at home siting on my bed writing song lyrics when I got a phone call from an unknown number, so I answered it to see who it was. I heard a female voice say "Is this Loic nottet", I replied with "Yes but who are you" and the voice replies with "My name is Dr Harvey and I am calling to let you know that your girlfriend Jenny has been in an incident and is in hospital". I froze on the spot, I got angry but stayed calm and thanked the doctor then hung up and left for the airport. Once I got to the airport I walked over to the ticket desk and got a ticket for the first flight to London that they had.
(Skip plane journey)
I landed in London about 2 hours later and got a taxi to the hospital that the doctor said Jenny was at, I phoned Catalina and told her to meet me down there as soon as she could. Once I got there I paid the driver and walked into the hospital, I headed to the front desk and asked what room Jenny was in and the lady told me she was in room 165, I thanked her and ran down the corridor to find Jenny. I waited outside of the room for Cat to show up and only 5 minutes later she arrived, she gave me a hug and said that Jenny is strong and will pull through. As I walked into the room I saw Jenny laying in the hospital bed with an IV needle in her left hand, I started crying because I couldn't stand to see her the way she is at the moment. I walked over to the chair on the right side of the bed and sat down holding her right hand even though I was still in its cast from when she fell and broke her arm back in Vienna, I saw that the contents of her school bad was on the floor so I let go of her hand to pick everything up and that's when I came across a card with a big red heart on it. I picked it up and looked at it and then opened it, on the inside was the most heart touching words ever, it said "To my lovely Loic, thank you for making me the most happiest person ever, you have shown me that "everyone deserves a second chance", those were the words you told me whilst we were on our first date. I miss you so much and can't wait to give this to you, love you to the moon and back, Jenny xxx". I put the card down, wiped my eyes and kissed Jenny on the lips hoping she would wake up.
(Back to Jenny's POV)
I felt a pair of lips on mine so I opened my eyes and saw Loic. I can tell by his eyes he has been crying, he noticed that I was awake and pressed some sort of button, when a nurse walked into the room I realised I was in hospital, then it all came back to me, I was on the bus coming home from school. I overheard the nurse say to Loic that I was lucky that I wasn't badly injured and that it was a very close call. Once the nurse left I sat up on the bed and looked at my bag, I decided to give Loic the card I had made for him so I called him over and he sat down in the chair opposite the bed. I gave him the card and he opened it with a smile on his face, once he finished he got up and gave me a hug saying that it was a lovely card, after that Cat came in the room with a little teddy bear and handed it to me. About 2 hours later the doctor came in to do a few tests, when the results came back he removed the IV needle from my hand and said I was free to go.
Cat had to go home so once we got outside the hospital we when our own ways, Loic is going to be staying with me as he came all the way from Belgium to make sure I was ok and because he's my boyfriend. Once we had gotten into my house we sat on the sofa and cuddled for what seemed like hours and eventually we fell asleep in the comfort of each other's arms. I woke up during the night to get a glass of water so I did just that, kissing Loic on the lips as I came back into the living room putting the drink down on a drinks coaster making sure not to spill a drop. It's good to have Loic back by my side.
