Ok, I'm a simp for clowns (only certain clowns though!) So if you're reading this then I'll assume you are too, so hey... you're in good company!

Apologies to any of my followers who are here, still waiting for me to continue one of my other stories. Writers block hits and then suddenly I become inspired to write again when a new character captures my interest.

This story is intended as a fem reader insert story but doesn't have to be, if you so choose. I'm going to try something different with this story, I'm giving you a name (that isn't your real name obvs, but it all fits into the plot) I'm doing this purely bc some people find reading Y/N over and over a bit irritating/jarring, which I get, as it can spoil the whole immersive experience. However if you don't like the idea of that, drop me a comment and I'll change it if y'all prefer.

Now, I'm not an avid fan of the One Piece anime (yeah I'll admit I'm here as a result of OPLA) so I'm going to wing it by creating some of my own characters and place names, but I will research whatever lore that's required for particular places, characters, and Buggy's backstory. I've also researched certain nautical terms, stuff that is involved with the running of a ship, certain rules and types of foods/drinks etc so that it's mostly accurate - but I won't bore you guys too much with all of that I promise

Warnings; this story will contain bad language, mild to moderate violence, and some eventual NSFW (that won't be too graphic, unless you guys want it LOL)
