Three Days Later

As I'm walking around the kitchen, waiting for the oven alarm to ping to tell me my food is ready, I hear some footsteps steps. I turn around to see Bucky. "Hello Mr Bucky!" I say to him politely as I watch him sit down on one of the stools. He looks at me, a small on his face. "Hey Kid." He says to me. I smile at him as I pull my sleeves up. "How are you today?" I ask him nicely, hoping he is happier than yesterday. He was quite depressed. He smiles at me, "I'm okay today, how are you? You told me you weren't doing so well yesterday." He tells me. I smile a little, "I'm getting there! Slowly drifting to shore again haha." I tell him softly as I hear the ping on the alarm.

As I spin around, I grab the tea towel and fold it while turning the alarm off. I open the oven door and take the tray with a pizza on out the stove, closing the oven and turning it off after. "Want some pizza?" I ask the man sat at the breakfast bar behind me. I hear I'm think a little before he responds with a quickly "Sure."

After a few minutes, we are sitting together eating the pizza. "I didn't know we had this in the freezer." He tells me, chuckling a little. I smile, swallowing the bit in my mouth. "We didn't, I just went out and bought it. Dad left me 100 dollars for food." I tell the man. He nods, chuckling some more, "Sounds like Stark." He tells me. After some time we've finished the pizza and we are just chatting.

"Y/N STARK!" I hear a shouting. I turn to see its my father. I'm shocked, taken back by his sudden appearance in the compound. "Dad? What are you doing back so early?" I ask him. He walks over grabbing me by the wrist. He pulls me out my chair, "GET AWAY FROM HIM! AND COVER THOSE DAMN SCARS!" He tells me. I look at my dad confused. "What? But, it's walm!" I tell him, still confused. I look back at Bucky. He looks down at the floor. "Dad! Get off! You're hurting me!" I tell him, tearing up a little. He's never been a great dad. I'm not surprised he's angry at me. "GET AWAY FROM THAT MONSTER!" He shouts at me dragging me away from the man I've been with for the past week.

I look him in the eyes, something in me snaps. "GET OFF!" I shout at him, pushing him off me and backing away. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" I shout at him, demanding to know. He looks at me getting closer to grab me again. I see his eyes widen, "Y/n. Don't you dare use that language!" He demands, he doesn't shout. His tone is firm. "WHY HM? WHY." I want to know, still shouting at him. He looks at me, "He's a killer. A bloody monster." He tells me. I roll my eyes and walk back to the man sitting at the breakfast bar.

I look at my dad, "Bucky is not a monster. He had no control. He was brainwashed." I tell him. He looks at me, angrier than before. He walks over, grabbing me again, pulling me. Dragging me, all the way to my room. "Pack your stuff." He tells me. I look at him, "What..?" I mumble a little, tears beginning to fall down my face. He looks at me, "Pack your things. If you can defend that monster, you can get out. You're done. You are not my child." He tells me. I look at him, the tears in my eyes falling down my face.

After half an hour, I've packed up all the things in my small room and I've head to what I'd learnt to be Steve's room that Bucky had been staying in. He's in there, also packing the things he has. "Bucky..?" I mumble, my voices slightly gone from screaming at my dad and crying. He looks over, he looks numb, "Sorry I got you disowned kid. I really am a monster. Your dad hates you.." He tells me. I shake my head, "He's always hated me deep down. He just needed a reason to disown me.." I tell him, "I don't have anywhere to go.." I tell him. He looks at me, putting the final shirt in his backpack, "I just got the keys to my new apartment..do you want to stay with me? I think your the only one to think I'm a good person." He tells me. I look at him, I feel safe with him. Like he's meant to be my parents. He's better than my dad. Tony. He's not my dad. Never has been really. "Yes please.." I tell him. He nods.

After a few minutes, we go down to the exit of the compound. Natasha, Tony, Wanda and my mom Pepper are all stood there. My mom looks at me, she's been crying. "Mommy..I'm sorry.." I tell her. She smiles and nods, "Y/n Darling..you call me. Whenever. You are my daughter. I love you so much..I couldn't convince your father..I'm sorry.." She tells me. I smile a little, shaking my head. "He's never been my father. Only thing we share is DNA. He's nothing to me." I tell her, tearing up.

As I move from her to Natasha and Wanda, I see they've also been crying. I hug them. "I love you guys." I tell them, trying to keep myself from crying again. Finally, Tony. As I get to him, I stare at him blankly. "This is what happens when you protect a monster." He tells me. I look down, then back to him. I smile. "The only monster in this compound is you. Goodbye Mr Stark." I tell him before getting into Buckys car and closing the door. Bucky smiles at me, "Ready Kid?" He asks me. I smile and shake my head. "One last thing." I tell him, rolling the window down. "Start the car." I tell him, which he happily does. I lean out the window and look at the three women, crying. Then I look at the man, stood there. I lift my hand, flipping off and shouting, "Fuck you." Before watching the women begin to laugh as they cry. I sit back and turn to Bucky. "Let's go." I tell him. He pushes the gearstick forward and speeds off.
