So the whole thing had been pointless. Aria had spent the entire night in a seedy cabin for a mysterious - although extremely good looking man - to tell her exactly what she already knew about Ally. Her and the girls hadn't managed to get her out of their minds since her appearance last month. The hollow feeling in her heart gave the impression it was happening all over again - no one knew if she was alive, dead; in need of help, or not...
She stretched and felt a wave of relief wash over her as she sprung off Noel's lap. At least she didn't have to fake a relationship with a slime ball anymore. And that kiss.. That kiss had been amazing. Her love life had dissolved into nothing along with ally's disappearance; Ezra's actions had left her numb, yet when she had kissed Damon, it seemed the excitement in her life had reawakened itself. It sounded stupid - she had just met the guy - but in truth, his foreign looks, sexy little smirk, and the deep musky cologne he wore had left her breathless after their embrace. Surely he wasn't into her - he had been playing around after asking for a kiss - but an enormous part of her prayed he wasn't. She gazed at him from the opposite corner of the room. He was talking to another guy, seemingly engaged in a private conversation in the shadows of the cabin. His posture was so confident, yet so masculine. It made her reluctant to leave the room without so much as a second thought - surely she would regret leaving with most probably no chance of ever meeting him again. He suddenly shrugged off his leather jacket and turned to meet with her eyes. Her stomach flipped, and the two remained in the same position for another 2 minutes. He smirked again - that familiar, mischievous smirk, and stood up, heading towards her. She stared at his newly revealed arms. Strong, firm muscles bulged from his white tshirt. 'Keep your eyes on his face, Aria, eyes on his face..."
And there it was again. Deep rich cologne invading her senses. He loomed over her in a confident stance. Her eyelashes fluttered quickly, and her heart wrenched as she struggled for something to say. Suppressing a grin, he ran his hands through his mop of lustrous brown hair. "Aria." His voice was husky, a gorgeous American lilt to it.
"Y-yes?" Crossing her fingers behind her back, she waited for a response. "Can I talk to you alone for a moment please?"
"Sure."
---
Even in the darkness, his features were harshly defined, subtle moonlight illuminating his hazel eyes. "So... You and Kahn are official?"
There was a silence. Was she really prepared to blow her cover for a minuscule chance?
"I don't know." She found herself saying. He chuckled to himself. "Why put on the act? I would have told you what I knew without you having to suffer having that creep touch you. Think he has a thing for you though."
"W-what?" Blood pulsed through her veins. How had he figured out so quickly?? She noticed he had his hand leaned on the wall beside her. "I'm sure you want to know more right?" He whispered, breaking the silence.
"I thought that was all you knew.."
Chuckling again, he edged closer to her, so their shoulders touched.
"One thing that you must always remember, Miss Montgomery, is that even the source of all knowledge will want to keep some things a secret. You're vulnerable if people know everything.."
"Wha-?"
The wind rustled leaves on the trees and she was left alone. He had literally disappeared and left her in the darkness, and she already found herself willing for his company back. She gazed at her hand, realising there was a neatly folded piece of paper in her palm. Scrawled thickly on it was a simple address and a few simple words.
The grill.
