Years ago, at the local library, after the events of Trustworthy Tobey,
Tobey and Becky were cleaning up the entirety of the library, and they were both angry with each other.
They would speak in a whisper.
Becky: I can't believe I'm stuck here cleaning your mess for the entire day.
Tobey: Well, this is your fault, you know?
Becky: How is this my fault? You're the one who trashed the library.
Tobey: Well, if you hadn't blamed me for the loss of the book, I wouldn't have lost my temper.
Becky: I said I was sorry; it was a simple mistake.
Tobey: You know, it's one thing to not believe me, but it's a whole different thing when you tell other people just how disloyal I am.
Becky: Well, not many people are going to trust a villain.
Tobey: I gave you McCallister's honor. A genuine promise in the family tradition and something I would never break.
Becky: Look, I'm sorry, Tobey, but you also need to accept that you destroyed the library out of anger. And I thought you forgave me.
Tobey: Wrong, I forgave the librarian after all; I couldn't blame her for falling for your manipulation.
Becky: Manipulation!?
Tobey: You used your trustworthy status to accuse me of something and convinced the librarian to believe you.
Becky: Manipulation is the act of controlling or influencing an individual, usually in an unfair manner.
Becky had a sudden moment of realization.
Tobey: You see, you didn't even look in your backpack just to confirm if I was telling the truth. If you had, all of this could have been avoided. See what happens when I try to do something nice? It ends up being overshadowed.
Becky: Look, Tobey, is there anything I can do to make things up?
Tobey: Maybe you should rip up your library card because why should I lose my ability to check out books while you live in fantasyland?
Becky: Come on, Tobey, is there anything else?
Tobey: I'm not sure... I have to think about it.
Present day
Tobey would spend his weekend contemplating what he was about to do and if it could improve his mental state, but soon his mind was made up.
He would end up burning all his Wordgirl merchandise. He did not want to be reminded of her after what he was about to pull off.
Afterward, he spent the rest of the time upgrading OMEGA with more armor and more power.
While Tobey was doing all of this, Becky was in her room, not really in the mood for anything. She felt incredibly guilty for what she did, and even more so after her friends told her what happened.
She didn't have the heart to face him, nor did she think he was willing to do the same, so it was best just to wait.
Monday came along, and as Tobey got out of bed, he knew that in some way he would end up facing Becky if he got to school, and he didn't believe she would want to be near a monster. Nevertheless, going to school was inevitable. However, he ended up catching a lucky break when he encountered his mother in the kitchen.
Claire: Tobey, are you feeling alright?
Tobey: Yes, Mother, I'm just fine.
Claire: It's just that you have been relatively shallow and quiet lately. I'm just worried about you.
