In just a few days, OMEGA had become a sensation, with action figures, furniture, and accessories being sold from all over as if a key to the city wasn't enough. Wordgirl did not seem to like how this new hero had caught the attention of everyone in the city.

Although he did seem trustworthy enough, this whole thing was starting to remind her of the Miss Power event, where an apparent hero gains the trust of everyone and then proceeds to take over the world. Whoever this OMEGA was, he surely knew more than he was letting on, and it's not like he was a new hero looking for guidance like Kid Math. There will inevitably be a confrontation sooner or later, and when there is, she will be ready for it.

Meanwhile, for Tobey, it seemed that being a hero was more work than he fully expected, and it wasn't because of the villains but rather because of the citizens asking him to do the most trivial tasks. He did his best to keep a straight face through all this, no matter how annoyed he got. This gave him a newfound respect for Wordgirl; he had started this whole hero persona not even a week ago, but she had been doing this for years.

Once Tobey got home, he began working on a new project of his. Now that he was gaining the city's respect, he wanted to gain the respect of the school, but how was he going to pull this off? Well, he had an invention meant to help a particular individual who had a terrible accident.

However, he also wanted to impress Becky, of all people. Perhaps it was because he had grown fond of her in the last few days. Throughout the years, they have been rivals at each other's throats sometimes, but now they talk and even hang out like friends. He began feeling slightly flustered now; he just couldn't stop thinking about her. Now that he got to know her more, he saw how kind she was and how friendly she could be, even towards people who didn't deserve it.

After everything that has been happening, it seems that gaining Wordgirl's trust was no longer the plan, as now he must maintain the reputation he has and gain the confidence to ask her out for the school prom.

Now, it was kind of unusual for him to attend things that involved socializing, but this was an exception, as he wanted to do this as a thank you to Becky for giving him a chance. This was just a friendly hangout and nothing more, unless plans changed.

But that can wait, as right now he needs to focus on his invention, and hopefully it won't fall apart in the process. There was this kid in school named Wesley who was paralyzed from the waist down after a horrible car accident and is now bound to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. This invention was an advanced exoskeleton that could help his body move with efficiency and without the slow movement of a standard exoskeleton.

After some time and some experimenting, the exoskeleton was complete, and Tobey would get some sleep afterward.

The next day, Tobey would walk to school while carrying his invention. Despite the built-up confidence, he was still nervous that something could go wrong and that this kid would end up in a worse condition. However, given all his success, he believed that there was no need to worry and that this invention would work like a charm.

Later in the day, as lunch was going on, Becky noticed that Tobey was not there, and neither was Scoops. Only Violet showed up, but before Becky could ask her anything, there was some commotion going on outside the lunch room. Becky was uninterested at first until Scoops ran in.

Scoops: Becky! Violet! You have to see this!

Violet: What's going on?

Scoops: You've got to see this; it's a miracle. Follow me.

Both Becky and Violet followed Scoops down the halls, very eager to see what the fuss was all about.

When they got there, they saw Wesley in an exoskeleton, fully standing up and moving around.
