"He's awake?" I asked on the phone with Romani referring to Duece
"Yes." She said
"I'm on my way." I said looking in the mirror of Killa's dresser after I got dressed
I had on a plane red hoodie, black polo shorts, and black Tory Burch slides
"Okay." She said and I hung up
"Yasir, I'm finna go to the hospital. My brother awake." I spoke
"You straight? You need me?" He asked in bed, putting his phone down
"No, I don't." I said
On the outside everything was straight but on the inside what happened was replaying in my head so this was a weight lifted off my shoulder
"Actually, can I talk about it before I go over there?" I bit down on my lip
"Yeah." He said in a tone that let me know it wasn't a problem
"It's just like I could've lost my brother, the only older brother I have. He taught me a lot of the things I know aside from my dad because I barely have a mom. I love him like truly and to witness him get shot, that hurts. I would rather than die than him, he makes everything happen for me." I expressed, he pulled me into a hug
"I know how you feel, ma. I can't tell you it's gon get better and allat because I been through it and that shit don't work, I'm always hea if you needa talk to a nigga though." He said and I nodded
"Thank you." I said then let go and kissed him
"I'm finna go to the hospital, bye." I said

I walked out and got in my car, I then drove to the hospital
When I went in only Romani was there, I was just happy to see him awake
"Xadrian, I'm so happy you awake." I grabbed his hand
"Why you even hea like you ain't set me up? And then you wanna yell some shit bout sorry, you just a sorry ass bitch." He went off on me catching me off guard, Romani as well
"What?" I frowned
"You weird and you get that shit from yo momma. If you wasn't my sister I would line yo ass, but Ian like you." He said mugging me which made me walk out and Romani followed
"That shit he just said true?" She questioned
"No, Romani. It's not. I didn't know shit about shit, I thought the nigga who did it worked for Dad. I was so fucking confused and hurt when he got shot, in front of ME. I only said I was sorry because he didn't deserve that, all he do for us." I expressed
