CHAPTER 17: FATE

Ta- Do I really love him? But how is this possible? We don't have any similarities. He is eased, then I am best. He loves ghar ka khana, then I am born to eat junk. His music is classic, where I love rock pop type songs. Where likes are so different, so opposite, how will our hearts connect?

Priya listening to her daughter in amusement. She is exactly like her, she remember, how she loves rock music, whereas, Brij always go for classic music. But still they are together— that's what she think. Priya sigh and shrug off her thoughts and focus on her daughter, who is struggling between her heart and mind. She chuckles looking at her pouty face. She turns her and cup her cheeks.

Pr- My doll! Did you heard about opposite attraction?

Taani frown, but then she nod, making Priya chuckles.

Pr- Exactly, your case is the same, you are opposite from each other and that's what attracts you the most, isn't it?

Hearing this from her mother, Taani goes into the pool of deep thoughts.

Pr- Okay tell me, did he also feel something for you or not?

Ta- How would I know, mama? Here I'm confused about my feelings and you were asking me about his.

Priya chuckles seeing her irritated face expression.

Pr- But did he do something special for you, or said something special, like share some of his life secrets which he didn't tell anyone but you, which made you think like that, hm?

Taani look at her in confusion then again starts thinking about him, on their first meet, their fight, then they fight again and again! But then he teaches her. Yes! And that too secretly because you don't want anyone to know, if he wants he can tell anyone else but he didn't. He kept his promise. Though he didn't hear but his voice has that thing that made her literary obsessed—with his voice, and then he had shared the biggest truth that only his loved ones knows or the one he trusted. And he said that now I'm his—family. He trusted me! Which means he—loves me?

Priya frowns seeing Taani smiling to herself. She click her finger to her making her snap out of her dreamland. Taani look at her mother.

Pr- Yes, little confuse girl, where've you been lost?

Ta- Uh, nowhere mumma. But t-thanks for your worth—advice. I think I almost got my answers, but just to confirm them I've to put a test on him and maybe—me too. Okay bye. Thankyou mumma. I'm going to Sharon's and I'll be staying there also, bubye!

Saying this, she left hurriedly not giving a chance to Priya to even ask, that what she's gonna do next.

Taani is laying on her stomach and Sharon's bed, lost in deep, thinking, making Sharon almost on the burst, she exhale a breath, harshly, and lay with her

Sh- My dear, stupid Bestie, can I have the fucking privilege to know what you have been thinking from past one hour. You came, greet me, lay on the damn bed and get lost in your thoughts. What the actual fuck?

Ta- Shar, jeez, lower your voice, you're gonna burst my ears.

Sharon look at her incomplete shock, she smack her head.

Ta- Ow! What the F?

Sh- Exactly, what the fuck, Tee, how can you talk to me like this? You're getting on my nerves now, can you fucking spill the beans, what the fuck have you been thinking?

Taani roll her eyes, and said, crisscross, on the bed, with her elbows on her legs and palm on her chin? Sharon went down a little to see her pouty face and frown.

Ta- Shar— how did you realize that you love Swayam?

Sharon, raise her eyebrow, and then smirk, she gets it why her best friend is being sulky from the past one hour. She chuckles and shake her head.

Sh- Well, actually, I didn't realize suddenly, with the time passing by made me realize, like everything, he said, whatever he did, I like, whenever he laughed, the sound of it ring in my ears for hours. When he spoke, his voice sounded melody to my ears, and when he was quite, there was a strange restlessness crept in me. I know you might found it little filmy, but— that's all I know. When you fall in love, you don't love them only, you love their everything, they're good side, their flaws, their bad side, everything suddenly felt so good about them.

Taani is listening to her carefully, she finally realized what he meant to her, all her confusion blew in error. She remember, in her hard times only he was there with her, helping her, encouraging her, and how he fights with that guy for him, how she catches him adoring her sometimes, we trusted her. Finally, realizing about her feelings, she feels excitement all over her body. She wanted to scream and loud and tell everyone in this universe that, TAANI KHANNA— fell in love! She giggles at the thought, that she fell in love, whom she hated at first, whom she called jackass, haha!

Sharon look at her weirdly. Taani is laughing, biting nails, playing with hairs.

Sh- Babe, you alright?

Ta- Huh? Y-yeah, I am— OK, actually, never been better, this much before. Hehe!

Sh- Guess you're in love, Tee.

Sharon while smirking, Taani look at her, and then blush, her eyes sparkle.

Ta- I am?

Sh- Uh, huh!

Ta- Oh God!  But wait, I want him to confess first. I am not going say anything.

Sh- Seriously babe. You are saying this now, I think you were the one who said that it doesn't matter who confess first, if you were in love, then don't wait, go and confess yourself. Hmm?

Taani look at her with the corner of the house, Sharon smirks.

Ta- Whatever! that's it, if he feel the same way for me, he will say it.

Sharon shake her head, looking at her Bestie's attitude. She chuckles.

Sh- Then let the fate decide, who is gonna confess first.
