Alexander exchanged a wary glance with Sebastian before introducing him. "Amelia, this is Sebastian, an old friend of mine."

Sebastian extended a hand, his gaze betraying a hint of apprehension. "Amelia, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you."

Amelia shook his hand politely, but her curiosity was piqued. "Likewise, Sebastian. What brings you here after all these years?"

Sebastian hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "I've come to Alexander with a matter of great importance, one that concerns both of you."

As they sat down, the tension in the room grew palpable. Alexander leaned forward, his voice laced with concern. "What is it, Sebastian? You look troubled."

Sebastian took a deep breath, his gaze shifting between Amelia and Alexander. "It's about a secret from our university days, one that I've carried with me all these years. I can no longer bear the weight of it."

Amelia's heart quickened. "A secret? What kind of secret?"

Sebastian's eyes locked onto Alexander's, a silent plea for understanding. "It's about something that happened during our final year of university, something that could change everything you know about Alexander."

Alexander's expression grew grave as he sensed the gravity of the situation. "Sebastian, please, if this is something that needs to be discussed, let's hear it. We've always valued honesty in our relationship."

Sebastian nodded, his voice steady. "Very well. During our final year, Alexander, there was an incident that involved a significant amount of money. It was a time when financial pressures were mounting, and the temptation to secure a future beyond our wildest dreams became too great to resist."

Amelia's eyes widened as she realized the implications of Sebastian's words. "Are you saying... theft?"

Sebastian nodded solemnly. "Yes, it was theft. Alexander and I, along with a few others, devised a plan to steal a substantial sum of money from a wealthy individual who had wronged us in the past."

Alexander's face grew ashen as he recalled the events of that fateful year. He had always believed that those memories were buried deep in the past, but now they resurfaced with painful clarity. "Sebastian, why are you bringing this up now?"

Sebastian's gaze shifted between them once more. "Because the repercussions of that theft have resurfaced, and the person we wronged is seeking justice. They have evidence, Alexander, and they intend to expose the truth."
