Before Svetlana had even opened her eyes she knew she was no longer lying in her bed.
The surface under her body was hard and cold. Her bed was always the perfect balance between warm and cool.
Peeling her eyes open from their needed, but closed, position, Svetlana is met with unfamiliar surroundings.
She slowly sits up and glances around the room that seems to be a miniaturized theater.
As her observant eyes take in everything around her, Svetlana notices several other bodies lying on the floor like she previously was. For one of these bodies, she hears a heartbeat. Nobody else had one.
Once Svetlana had moved her gaze to the far right of the room she let a quiet, uneeded gasp slip past her lips.
Not caring if others woke up, Svetlana quickly stood and rushed over to the group of three that caught her attention. She had also dismissed the new dress that flowed around her legs. It was not what she went to bed in, but that was not the highest on her list of priorities.
As if their bodies had sensed Svetlana's presence, the three men on the floor started shifting and blinking their eyes open.
Not wanting to assault their senses so close to them waking up, Svetlana crouched down and let her knees hit the floor as the skirt of her dress pooled around her and waited for the men to look her way.
The first to catch his bearings was the blonde of the group. The dazed look his eyes had when he first woke up disappeared the fastest and quickly morphed into anger. Just as he was going to yell a flash of color caught his peripheral vision.
Snapping his neck to the left, the blonde man's body instantly relaxed, no longer ready to attack anything that dared to move.
A whispered, "Amore mio" (my love), which seemed uncharacteristic from such a previously harsh individual, was Svetlana's only warning before she was tackled to the floor in a tight hug.
Svetlana's lips pulled into a light smile as she threaded her fingers through semi-long blonde hair. As an extra reassurance, she whispered, "I'm alright, Caius. Promettere." (promise).
Caius didn't pull away until he left multiple kisses down Svetlana's neck.
After Caius shifted so he and Svetlana were standing next to one another it only took a few seconds for the other two men from the trio to wake up fully. Caius was the one to whisper, "Fratelli" so the two would look towards himself and Svetlana.
The two snapped their necks to the left very similar to Caius. And when they caught sight of Svetlana they leapt up and stood in front of her within a second.
Svetlana looked between both men with the same smile she had while holding Caius. To the one on the left, she answered his worried eyes by saying, "I'm alright, Marcus. Nessun danno fatto." (No harm done). To the man on the right, Svetlana reached out and gently held his face with her hand. While his eyes were slightly glazed over, she said, "Vedi, Aro? Va tutto bene." (See, Aro? Everything is fine).
When Aro's eyes were no longer glazed he turned his face to kiss the palm of Svetlana's hand. Gently grabbing her wrist, he started smoothing a thumb over her skin as he said, "I wouldn't say everything, but at least you are alright."
Svetlana smiled at the three in front of her once more before shifting her attention and letting her expression drop.
The others in the room had all started waking up while the group of four were talking, but now they were all becoming coherent and standing up to speak to one another.
