EXT. RAIN FOREST, OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK, WASHINGTON- DAWN

[Moss-draped, shadow-drenched, tortured tree trunks twist upwards, reaching for rare sunlight.]

Bella (V.O.): I'd never given much thought to how I would die...

[Suddenly, every creature in the forest is deadly silent. Neither bird beast nor insect make a noise. A predator is near.]

[Then, in the distance, the slightest SNICK- a twig snapping. Abruptly, the scene is on the move. Fast.]

UNKNOWN POV- MOVING

[Trees start whipping past at a dizzying speed, branches are dodged with extreme agility. Whatever is moving is speeding up, chasing something. Up ahead there is a glimpse of the prey at hand. A deer.]

[Sensing its impending doom the deer starts to run. It sprints forward, but it is quickly gained upon. Beyond the deer is the forests edge, white sunlight glowing against the trees. The buck races for the light. The predator is just behind it, about to emerge from the shadowy darkness.]

[The deer leaps into the light in a high arc, hovering (suddenly in slow motion) against the white glare of the sun.]

[The deer abruptly plumets to the ground at an unnatural angle. Leaving the suns glare to fill the screen.]

Bella (V.O.): But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go...

Bella is extremely self conscious as she hears herself speak on the screen. However, she can't help but to silently agree with her words.

Svetlana, even being completely confident in her inability to die, agreed with the humans words. Though at the thought of leaving those sitting around her forever made her uncomfortable. To ease that feeling she reached out for Marcus's hand on her left, Aro's on her right, and she leaned back into Caius's hand that rested directly behind her.

[The whiteness of the screen dulls slightly to reveal Isabella Swan.]

[Bella stands, eyes closed against the sunlight, absorbing its rays. Her long dark hair frames her pale skin.]

Bella (V.O.): ... So I can't bring myself to regret the decision to leave home.

EXT. SCOTSDALE, AZ- DAY

[Bella stands at the end of a cul-de-sac on the deserts edge. The sun blazes behind her-- she bends down and carefully scoops a tiny barrel cactus into a clay pot.]

Bella (V.O.): I would miss Phoenix. I'd miss the heat. I would miss my loving, erratic, hair-brained mother.

[Bella is then seen standing in front of her mother. She receives a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek.]

Bella (V.O.): And her new husband.

Phil: (standing by the back of the family car) Guys, come on. I love you both, but we got a plane to catch.

[Bella is still standing with her mother.]

Bella (V.O.): But, they wanna go on the road. So, I'm gonna spend some time with my dad. And, this will be a good thing... I think.

[Bella in the backseat of the car is briefly shown. Then, a plane taking off. The desert of Arizona is seen before transitioning into the foggy, forests of Washington.]

[Leaving the overhead view of the forests, the scene swoops towards a bridge.]

Bella (V.O.): In the state of Washington, under a near constant cover of clouds and rain, there's a small town named Forks. Population? 3,120 people. This is where I'm moving.
