We are both out of breath, panting, and absolutely dripping in sweat. He sat on my back, holding both of my arms. "Wow... X, was it? ... You're a-huff- a hard little bugger... to -to catch." I struggled to kick him off, but my legs couldn't reach him. "D-don't know why-either... good-d looking guy... haaa..."

He used his hands to pin mine, probably to prevent me from using my summoned sword. I stopped struggling, hoping to just find a window of escape later. There was a few moments of heavy breathing from both of us, before he broke it. "So... X. Who sent ya?" I growled at him as my only response. "Alright, alright we can skip. For now. But-" he leaned close "-you do need to cooperate, if you want mercy that is."

"Capiché? Good." Good stars my finger are so tingly. I felt them twitching, but only on the one hand. "Now, better answer me well..." He tried to adjust his handhold on me, seemingly trying to hold it?

I gripped onto his hand tightly and yanked him. He lost his tight hold on me as I heard a small yelp. I sat onto my knees and elbowed him off of me, although, that only flung him to the side because he was still latched onto my arm like a leech.

"Hold on!" I yanked his hand so that he'd be directly in front of me and winded my free fist. "I think that you-" my arm went past his head when he jumped back, bringing our tangled fingers into my view.

Bright, little strings, gently twisted around each other. One a dangerously bright red, the other a disgusting purple. It all became undone as I yanked away, and scrambled backwards as my soul pounded.

As the white faded from the visible ends of the strings, a skeletal hand snatched mine. "Wait! It's okay!" I looked up at his tar tear stained face, to his normally empty sockets. I saw a faint ring wavering as he spoke. "I won't hurt you... I promise. I will only love you, and treat you with respect and the upmost care." I trembled as he brought our joined hands to his sincere expression and lightly leaned his cheek on my hand, now effectively trapping it. I tried pulling my hand away again, but I ended up dragging him closer. I had completely lax grip on him, that shouldn't have happened. "Shh, shh. You're safe. I'll protect you... breath.." he started breathing loudly. I was breathing loudly. I was breathing quickly. I tried to pull back again, he came with my hand again. I yanked and he was still there. I tried to throw him, he stayed. "Hey, hey. I'm not hurting you.."

I rammed him into a wall with as much force as I could. He gasped as his hands slipped. I turned and ran as far as possible. Tears running under my mask, that I later realized had been visibly soaking my scarf. My clothes were hot and sticky.

His clothes stuck to me like stickers, but far more constrictive.

He is my soulmate.

I knocked the breath out of my soulmate.

I'm soulmates with Killer. A member of Nightmare's gang.
