Adventure Part 2

Megatronus approached the lake and started drinking, his ears twitching upon hearing someone rising from the water; he looked up to see Orion emerge from the water surface as his scales glistened from the sun beams. Orion got out from the lake and shook his body as the ragged scales were peeled off and new scales poked out.

Orion's hide is now glittering than before, his red and blue scales sparkled anew. Again, those teeny tiny voices from beyond the fourth wall telling him something that he just blocked off. Orion caught Megatronus staring at him, Megatronus quickly walked away and this made Orion softly smile at himself.

After hours of traveling, they stopped by a beautiful waterfall wherein you could see the rainbow being reflected.

"We'll rest here for an hour." Megatronus said and headed straight to the waterfall. Orion nodded and started hunting for food for both of them.

Megatronus went under the falling water as it hit his wings and back. He sighed in relief and felt relaxed as it beat on his screaming muscles, soothing them.

Orion gently placed down the meals he had caught and looked up to see Megatronus standing below the waterfall, relaxed. He gazed at those shimmering silver scales glistening, steel wings spread and relaxed from the waterfall beating down on him and his face slackens from his usual serious expression.

Who knew a rare dragon would truly be a rare gem to keep. Orion suddenly shook his head from that thought. Megatronus is just accompanying him, they are...acquaintances. They barely know each other.

Orion softly sighed. "What are you sighing for?" Orion suddenly raised his head in surprise to see Megatronus slightly flapping his wings to dry off.

"Nothing." Orion said and shoved his dead prey using his snout in front of Megatronus.

It was dark and cloudy, heavy rain started to pour as lightning flashes and thunder struck towards a poor tree knocking it down.

Orion was chasing a deer that ran off but he never left his target he locked on. Unbeknownst to him, he had entered a territory. A large black dragon appeared from the thick trees, puffing its chest out like a pride lion. Orion suddenly stops and goes into defensive mode.

"You trespasser! You shouldn't run carelessly." The black dragon spoke as its purple eyes glowed. Orion slowly backed away while growling, showing his bare teeth.

"Planning to run away pip squeak?" Another appeared behind; this one is smaller than the black dragon. Suddenly three more appeared surrounding Orion in a circle. Orion lowered his upper body, still growling.

"Trespassers like you should perish!" One of them said, Orion was about to strike at them in one go when they all heard a loud roar. They all looked up to see a flash of lighting emitting a silhouette of that dragon hovering above the trees. Then comes a thunder revealing its silver scales and red glowing dangerous eyes.

Megatronus swoops down landing on Orion as if shielding him away from those territorial dragons. He roared and let out a black mist from his mouth. It hit the large black dragon as the others started to pounce at Megatronus.

"Foolish dragons!" Megatronus spread out his wings as the steel came out like a missile launcher striking at them. After moments of fighting, those dragons retreated. Megatronus stood triumphantly.

"Are you alright?" Orion, still beneath Megatronus asked as he raised his head to caress Megatronus's neck. Megatronus felt weird at Orion's soothing care and quickly backed away for Orion to rise up.

"Those jerks are no match for me." Megatronus said in a prideful tone.

"Thank you!" Orion said. "Although I can handle them." He added and Megatronus snorted as if mocking him.

"I guess this is it." Orion spoke when they finally reached a meadow wherein they would part ways. Megatronus was silent as he was staring into space.

"Megatronus, is there something wrong?" Orion called out. Megatronus sat down and huffed in frustration upon hearing teeny tiny voices lately.

"Orion..." Megatronus was about to say something but then said, "Let's part our ways now." Orion nodded.

"Thank you again, Megatronus!" Orion slightly bowed his head in gratitude and started walking away. Megatronus watched him for a moment and looked at the ground in front of him.

Orion looked behind to see Megatronus 'moping' and this made Orion disheartened. Could it be? Is Megatronus expecting something? Or does he not want their journey to end. Orion stopped his tracks and u-turned.

Orion crept closer to Megatronus like a silent fox and noticed that Megatronus didn't heed his presence. Then Orion raised his head to lick Megatronus's snout affectionately. Megatronus snapped out and was quick to react at the affection from Orion.

Megatronus quickly backed away once as his wings rose in surprise, his red eyes widened to see Orion smiling softly and lovingly.

"O-Orion!" Megatronus was baffled, surprised and somewhat furious that Orion returned and did that. Orion moved forward and snuggled beneath Megatronus's neck giving more affection. Megatronus went tense but then relaxed.

"Will we ever meet again?" Megatronus nuzzled Orion's head as he spread his steel wings to hug Orion closer, lovingly.

"Of course." Orion licks Megatronus's head. Megatronus purred and kissed Orion.

"See you again Megatronus." Orion gave him one last nuzzle and left. Megatronus felt proud as he smiled to himself. Megatronus then expanded his wings and flew off.
