Yuri was born with the blue spider lily in her blood. She could make it bloom with the dance and a specific type of blood, but she never really realized the importance of the flower. She lived in the remote countryside bordering a small forest, and had stayed there her whole life. She couldn't remember a time she didn't live in her small cottage.
One day, she woke up at dawn, like always, and went outside to tend to and harvest her garden. The flowers were all blooming, and the fruits and vegetables were producing. She watered everything, and harvested several plants. She headed back inside and ate in the kitchen, then went to her bedroom to grab a book. Which is how she found a demon in her bed.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" She shrieked, startling the pink-haired demon with blue criminal stripes all over his face and body. "WHO ARE YOU, WHY ARE YOU HERE, AND HOW IN FUCK'S NAME DID YOU FIND ME?!"
"I'm a demon." The basketball spoke.
"YEAH, I GOT THAT YOU FUCKER!" Yuri backed into the kitchen and snatched a knife, knowing that it would be ineffective, but better than nothing. "BUT WHO, WHY, AND HOW?!"
The pink-haired demon sighed. "I'm Akaza, the sun was coming, and I got lost." His gaze flickered to the knife in her hands. "You don't really think that'll do anything, do you?"
Yuri ignored the question. "Can't you go in the forest?"
Akaza shrugged. "Too dangerous."
"Alright..." Despite her earlier reaction, Yuri was terrified. It's alright.. He'll leave at nightfall, and will never be here again, she thought. If he doesn't kill me, at least. She shuddered, quickly leaving the room and closing the door. Yuri took a deep breath. Oh my fucking god oh my fucking god ohmyfuckinggod How did he even find this place?!
The door to her room creaked open, and Yuri shrieked and ran out into the sunlight. "Fuck no! Not today!" Guess I'm not going in my house today..
"I don't hurt women." The basketball called from inside. Yuri stopped and turned back, still not fully trusting.
"Why should I trust you?"
"I only fight strong people."
"That's.. rude." Yuri commented. "Not complaining."
"Am I wrong?" Akaza raised an eyebrow.
"No.." she muttered, reluctantly walking back inside.
The day passed by fairly quickly, Akaza hiding from the ever-changing patches of sunlight streaming through the windows, and Yuri going about her daily routine and generally ignoring him. When nightfall came, she basically kicked him out of the house.
"Please never come back!" She called towards the disappearing figure of Akaza. She got no answer as she closed the door and went to bed.

As luck would have it, he came back the next day.
"I thought I told you to never come back." Yuri propped a hand on her hip.
"Only Master gets to order me around." Akaza replied, lounging on her couch as if he owned the place.
"And who is this 'master' of yours?" She questioned, trying and failing to tug him off of the couch. "And get off the couch–you're dirty!"
Akaza shrugged. "Can't tell you that."
"Why not?" she asked, exasperated that he wouldn't get off the sofa.
"Can't say his name."
Yuri rolled her eyes. "Yes you can."
"No, I literally can't." He gave a deadpan expression. "I'd die if I did."
