Chapter 2: Sacrifice

The carpet was like vivid red curtains, Min Hui felt she was walking into a room of a castle in mediaeval era. It’s okay if they want to be high class, but it seemed too obscure. Min Hui did not like the carpet, she felt like the colour was dark to hid the dirt and stains since it was rainy season. She opened her luggage and took out a travel sheet and laid it on the bed. After that, the two girls started to push each other to go to the shower. Each wanted the opposite one to go first to show humbleness.

“You go first.” Li Chunmiao said, “you seem to love cleanliness so much.”

“No, You go.” Min Hui said, “I take too much time to shower.”

“We have a lot of time. So you can go first. Besides, you-”

“Don’t mention it. Your showering has nothing to do with me helping you. You may go.”

“No, you go. I insist.”

“……”

This was the reason why Min Hui did not want to have an extra person in her room. Because she knew such conflicts would arise for the simplest things. In the end, she was the one who went in first and showered for twenty minutes, and by the time Li Chunmiao was done showering, she had already put on her pajamas and was sitting on the edge of the bed with a hair dryer.

“Wow, you have a great body!” Li Chunmiao exclaimed as she looked at Min Hui who was sitting on a chair in front of the table. Sitting across the table she asked, “Is this ……34C?
 

Min Hui took a deep breath and smiled somehow reluctantly as she asked, “How do you know?”

Min Hui pulled that mass of hair off the comb and stared at it, it was indeed a lot of hair. She touched the mass of hair and felt that they were very silky and warm. Min Hui shook her head with a bitter smile and continued to comb her head.

Perceive, easy to say but hard to do. Min Hui looked up at Li Chunmiao and found her looking at her. Her face red, Min Hui didn’t know whether it was because she was anxious or because she had just finished taking a shower. She could feel Li Chunmiao’s kindness and concern for her. No one ever cared so hard about a stranger they just met. Thinking about her unusual fondness towards her(Min Hui) Min Hui couldn’t help but take a serious look at her(Li Chunmiao).
