This is something that really sticks to me and well makes me sad, so i decided to use my experience to make this chapter! I hope you'll enjoy it.
"Semi."
Semi looks at Coach Washijo, "Yes Coach?"
"Come here." Coach Washijo gestures beside him and Semi nods.
Walking over to his coach he noticed Shirabu staring at him. Earning a to familiar eye roll from the younger.
Semi stops in front of Coach and bows his head. "You wanted me."
"Yes. I'm getting very disappointed in your playing Semi."
"What? But i've been trying my best Coach!"
"Yes, and your 'best' is not good enough."
"You need to fix your game play, or i'll swap you out for that first year."
Coach makes eye contact with Semi, knowing exactly who he is talking about.
Ever since Shirabu got accepted into the team all he has got is compliments.
Semi never got his spotlight anymore, it was always on Shirabu.
Shirabu had been a threat to Semi's reputation as a setter since he first joined.
But it had never been established until now, sure Shirabu is hella good.
But that does not mean Semi wants his position taking away from him.
He worked so hard to get it, he even worked with the former setter to improve his playing.
Did extra time in the gym, causing his grades to slip and give his family a scare.
Risking his mental health just to be on top, to now get told he's close to being replaced.
Everything Semi has ever done for the team would go down the drain.
But he's not going down without a fight.
"Yes Coach Washijo." Semi replies, heading back to where he was practicing.
On the way he makes eye contact with Shirabu, gritting his teeth anger evident in his facial features.
He was enraged, absolutely furious. He brought so much to the team, and worked so hard.
Why must he be compared to the one person he hates the most? It just isn't fair.
He only just become the lineup setter a few months ago, it's ridiculous.
His mind was a jungle, his thoughts were constantly spiralling.
People's words were stuck in his head and he was starting to slowly believe them.
"Semi Semi! are you okay?" Semi snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Tendou.
He nodded, faking a grin and walking away. "Of course i am!"
Tendou followed behind Semi, concern evident in his next words. "Are you sure?"
"Yes Tendou."
