It's been two hours since we left the rest stop and we're still stuck in traffic. The anticipation is killing me!

"COME ON," I yell at the cars in front of us.

"Yelling at the cars wont make them go any faster," Alex calmly tells me. I shrug and sink further down in my seat.

"Bridget where are we taking you anyways?" I ask her.

"I don't have a specific place to be," She replies. "I just go wherever."

Finally we get off on the exit and I am surrounded by skyscraper buildings and sidewalks full of people. The sun is shining as we drive through the busy streets. I must look like a child with my face and hands pressed up against the glass gawking at the city around me. We made it to Los Angeles.

..............................

We dropped Bridget off at a stingy motel. I envy how free and relaxed she is. She gave me her number before leaving so we can meet up later.

Now Alex and I are headed to a condo on the beach that his parents own. I've never been there before because Alex's parents don't terribly like me. They are quite wealthy and they think my middle class family will be a bad influence on him. That's why whenever I hung out at Alex's house I always snuck into his room through the window or came while his parents were away.

We arrive at his condo that's just outside of L.A. And wow it's gorgeous! It has a wrap around porch that's perfect for reading outside, and the beach is right off the porch. Alex opens my car door startling me, I was so busy gawking at the condo I didn't notice he had gotten out and opened my door. What a gentleman, another good thing about him.
"Come on, I'll show you your room," Alex offers with a gentle smile.
"Thank you kind sir," I joke.
He laughs, "Anything for my lady." My lady. He said my lady, damn that boy.
He unlocks the front door and with his hand on the small of my back, guides me up a flight of stairs and into a bedroom facing the ocean. It has a breathtaking view and a balcony that stretches across the entire second floor. Alex leaves me to unpack my bag and settle in.
Twenty minutes later Alex sticks his head in the door way, "Hey want to go swimming?"
"Sure I'll be down in a minute!" I reply with a smile. This should be fun.
