Akaza x Reader
(3rd POV)
***It was a direct order to prove his strength and loyalty to Muzan. Akaza ran through the night, under the stars, until he reached the small village in the west.
He paused, smelling the strong scent of iron. It was carried through the wind, flying miles upon miles away. Akaza quickened his pace, reaching the village twice as fast than he normally would.
She sat in the center of the village, red staining her bare body. The woman was curled into a ball, rocking back and forth. Akaza hesitated, unsure of how to approach. He could tell she wasn't human. The corpses of every villager laid strewn around her, some of which were unrecognizable.
"Did you do this?"
Her rocking motions stopped, and she lifted her head. Pristine white fangs stared back at Akaza, but he mainly focused on her eyes. They were such a beautiful color, he thought. Then, he noticed the faint tear stains on her cheeks.
"I...think so," she looked at her surroundings, nose twitching at the scent. When she started to stand up on her own two feet, Akaza almost stumbled. He quickly snatched a coat from one of the villagers, draping it over her shoulders and buttoning the buttons. "They didn't taste nice, though. I'm...sorry for creating a mess."
It was indeed a mess, but he didn't care about that. She didn't seem powerful, yet Akaza was still wary of her. Something warm fluttered inside his chest; it was something he hadn't felt in his human life, nor his demon one. Unconsciously, his arm inched towards her shoulder. They were both linked, and to anyone else, would seem like a couple.
"I make messes all the time, it's fine," their feet carried them off towards the forest, creating soft sounds with each step. "You haven't been one of us for very long. What's your name?" They continued walking, shielded from the sun due to the canopy trees.
"Y/N, I suppose. That's what they called me before I ate them."
Akaza nodded, pulling her closer.
Some time later, the pair were summoned to the Infinity Castle. They landed side by side, gracefully standing on their feet. Douma gasped, inspecting the intruder from head to toe. Well, she looked quite nice, so he found himself drawing closer to her. Before his fingers could grace her skin, gravity pulled him up towards the floating platforms. He landed with an 'oof', and stayed there.
"You don't touch what doesn't belong to you, Douma."
"And who says she belongs to you? You're quite handsy—!"
"—Fiends. Silence your bickering before I take away what you treasure most."
There was an awkward silence, and there was no question as to what their Master was referring to. They subconsciously cradled their eyes, pleading with their ranks to stay intact.
"...Such a pretty face, one not meant for dirt and grime. Where'd you find her, Lord Akaza?"
Akaza stayed silent, pulling Y/N closer. She huddled into his warmth, laying her head against his chest.
As usual, Muzan demanded his subjects to find the blue spider lily. No one dared to ask why Y/N was allowed to join the meeting, but once their Master retired for the evening, she was met with an onslaught of harassment.
