Jade grew up in a good neighborhood; her mother Jane was a hairstylist for boys and girls; her father James owned a footlocker; and a barber shopped called Cuts by Jay.
She would also go visit them in Houston because that's where they moved 5 months ago. Being in Chicago wasn't for them with all the gun violence and shooting and kids being on the news every week or day just broke them, so they moved to Houston. They lived in a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Their neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, just the way they liked it.
Jade always wanted to help people with mental health problems, so when her mother Jane told her about the Chicago mental health facility, she quickly filled out an application and got hired the same day.
