Chapter 4

Chapter 4:

Cameron’s P.O.V

I quickly stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf. I had to run up north and stay at the Redwood pack for a while. Apparently they have spotted rogues nearby and they called a meeting to deal with it. Usually my dad, being the Alpha, he would have gone there himself with his Beta, but since I will be taking over the Alpha throne soon he wanted me to go with my beta, Logan instead.

Logan and I have known each other since we were in diapers. He's literally like a brother to me and that's why he's my beta. He's the laid back type and never takes anything too serious. We've basically done everything together, and checking out girls is one of them. Most people like to call us players, but we like to call it experimenting.

"Cam, we're on their territory now." Logan informed me, through our mind link.

“Alright let’s shift back and change" I reply to him. It doesn't take us that long to reach Redwood pack. They are our neighbor pack. Now I know what you all must be thinking. Why didn't we just drive there instead of running? Well it does make sense but it doesn't take us that long to get there, besides Logan and I both love running. But the real truth is my car is in the garage getting touched up from all the scratches. Let’s just say the last girl that I slept with wasn't really happy with me dumping her after sex. But I warned her before so it’s not my fault!

Once we were both shifted back and not butt naked we went to inform the pack that we were here.

“Hello Cameron and Logan thank you both for coming. It’s good to see you both getting so involved in this, after all you will be Alpha soon and you his Beta" Alpha George says formally to Logan and I.

We all shake hands and make some small talk before following Alpha George inside.  He leads us to what must be his office and there are about twenty other man sitting down talking. Once he steps in the room it immediately gets quiet.

“Boys this is Cameron the future Alpha of the Midnight Sun pack and his Beta Logan. Now that we have everyone let’s get started with this meeting” Alpha George announces.

Logan and I take our seats so that he can begin.

“Some of the boys from my pack went on a run last evening. They smelt an unfamiliar scent and reported back to me" said Alpha George.

“Yea, we kept running ahead to check it out. Then we got attacked but before I could get up they ran. Me and Jason followed their scent and it was heading down south." muttered one of the boys. He was so scrawny...no wonder he got attacked.

After discussing about the rogues for a while Logan and I each headed to our rooms. We had to stay the night because we still have some other things to discuss with them. Guess we have to miss the first day of school tomorrow... oh well!

I bumped into my dad on the way to my room with Logan.

"Hey son, Logan. How was the meeting?" My dad asked while trying to tie up his tie.

“Boring as hell" I grunted looking off to the side.

Logan chuckled before answering my father. “It was good. Alpha George said that he'd give us a call if anything else were to happen."

My dad nodded, he already knew what was going on since I’d given him a call the night before.
