Not everyone is born equal. I took this lesson to heart at the age of 4.You see the world began to change when a bioluminescent baby was born in a Chinese hospital. As more and more cases of even stranger phenomena occurred, the cause of this strange phenomenon remained unclear. Time passed, and soon, exceptional people began popping up all over the world, as the exceptional became the norm.
Fantasy became reality, as 80 percent of the world's population consisted of superhumans with special abilities. Chaos soon sprang up as crime increased. Brave individuals took up the mantle of heroes, and with the help of the public, some individuals acquired the right to serve as heroes.
But unfortunately for me, this is not the path I was destined to go down. My path... it's kind of a messed-up path, that's for sure. See, in a world where 80 percent of the population wields powers, it's easy to think that having none is a curse. But trust me, it's not as simple as it sounds. When you're "Quirkless" like me, life throws you curveballs like it's trying to break your spirit. I took those curveballs to the face at the age of four and never stopped.
You see, I'm not one of those lucky folks who were born with extraordinary abilities.
At best, I'm just an ordinary guy in an extraordinary world. And it's not like I haven't tried to be like them, the heroes who soar through the sky and break through walls. I've always admired them, you know? Looked up to them as the shining symbols of hope. But there's a cruel irony in wanting to be a hero in a world that decides your worth based on your quirk.
As I grew up, it became clear that the world was shifting, and it wasn't just about having superpowers anymore.
The lines between heroes and villains blurred, and chaos became the new normal. I watched as society grappled with how to deal with this new reality, with these extraordinary individuals who could shape the world with their abilities.
But what about me? What about those who didn't get an invitation to the hero party?
People like me were left behind, forgotten in the shadows. In a world where fantasy had become reality, I felt like the last remnant of a bygone era, a time when being "ordinary" was... okay.
But hey, life has a funny way of surprising you. Because on one faithful day, I stumbled upon something that changed everything.
Something that bit me, something that shouldn't have even existed in this world. A spider, an ordinary spider, or so I thought. Little did I know that it carried something extraordinary, something that would turn my life upside down.
My name is Izuku Midoriya, and I'm not your typical hero. No, I'm not a symbol of peace, and I'm not here to always save the day with a smile.
.......I'm something different, something that doesn't quite fit into the neatly defined categories of this world.
I'm the one and only Spider-Man, and this is how I became one of the world's greatest heroes.
Surprised I'm not arrested or turned into the police yet? Well, that's the vigilante life for you. But who said being a vigilante was ever easy?
Now, let's go back to the beginning, where it all started. Back to the event of that spider bite....
____________________________________________Izuku Midoriya happily writes about the newest hero that debuted that same morning into his notebook, titled "Hero Analysis for the Future #13". This is a little, or big, hobby of his: to analyze quirks, fighting techniques, and even the personalities of any and all heroes that he is able to find. Hopefully, a lot of this information can help support his dream and if not it's a great way to keep his mind active.
