Chapter 17: A Bad Romance

Jirou walks down the hallway, feeling slightly confused, not knowing what to take from what happened. Momo was waiting for her on the corner.

Yaoyorozu: And????- She asked all pumped up.

Jirou: He...he said yes.- She answered, but it felt more like a question.

Yaoyorozu: Kyyyaaaaaaa Yesssssss, I told you he would say yes to you!!!

Jirou: I guess you were right Yaomomo.- But a little nagging thought was floating around Kyoka's mind.

-He's still thinking about when we almost kissed the other night? He was about to say no to me because of that...I wonder what might be on his head. I hope I don't blow it up.- She asked herself on her mind.

Meanwhile, In Sero's room...

Mina: NOOOOO NO NO!!!! TELL ME IT ISN'T TRUE!!!- She said all overwhelmed clinging to Kaminari.

Kaminari: It's true Mina, the reason we didn't kiss was because you guys barged in like that.

Mina: NOOOOO, I'M THE WORST!!! I'M SO SORRY KAMINARI!!!- She was almost crying, knowing she was responsible for cock blocking Kaminari. She felt way too guilty about it.

Kaminari told them all he told Kirishima the other day (minus the wet dream situation, he preferred to keep that between him and his best friend). 

Sero: Damn bro, you should have told us this.

Kaminari: Sorry, I wasn't feeling comfortable talking about it before.

Sero: So, what are you going to do?

Mina: What do you mean? He's going on his date tomorrow, right?- She said, regaining her composure.

Kaminari: Well, there is no coming back now. 

Kirishima: Still bro, see this as the ultimate test that maybe Jirou and you have a future together.

Kaminari: Don't fill my mind with dreams Kirishima, I'm trying to keep low expectations, that way I'll not be disappointed if it doesn't work out.- He said, and more like disappointment, Kaminari would feel heartbroken if tomorrow's plan turns out to be a failure for whatever reason.

Bakugo: You won't get anywhere with her with that mediocre mindset, idiot.- He participated for the first time in the conversation.

Kaminari: Huh?

Bakugo: Until you open yourself to her and the possibility of not failing, you will only make her not want to be with you.- It was clear Bakugo wasn't going to tell him that Jirou actually confessed her feelings for Denki in front of him, not only because it wasn't his problem, but because deep inside he respected Kaminari and Jirou. And he cared for the happiness of both of them (Something Bakugo himself would never admit out loud).

Kaminari: Maybe you are right Bakugo. I just want to be cautious, that's all. I don't want to hurt myself or her.

Bakugo: Since when you are cautious duncen face?- He smirked.

Kaminari: Fuck you Bakugo...- He remarked before everyone let out a collective laugh.

Jirou was starting to freak out a little, she was nervous. She hadn't said it before (nor she wanted to say it), but this was her first date ever with someone, and the pressure was even heavier because it was with someone she liked. Momo was helping her choose something to wear.
